I don't normally write reviews, but hot damn... our meal was good! We weren't ravenous, but I wish we had been. For an $18 shared meal, we left very happy.
What we had: --- Chips - Fresh and CRUNCHY. --- Salsa - Awesome balanced taste, it reminded me of Pace Picante. --- Guacamole - I couldn't stop eating it. Very fresh too, I wouldn't be surprised if they made it to order. --- Quesadilla - Probably the best I've ever had, no lie. Other places sometimes make them not cheesy enough, allowing things to fall out, and making it hard to hold. They use muenster cheese and the first bite was so cheesy I could have stretched it out at arm's length! They also actually separated the slices, that way it didn't recombine on the plate and make it difficult to get just one. Lastly, I asked for beef barbacoa, and even though it wasn't a listed meat for the quesadilla, the waitress didn't bat an eye when I asked. The rice and beans that come with it were also made perfect, with a garnish of cheese on top. Very nice! --- Sweet Tea - It won't give you a sugar rush, but it also wasn't lacking flavor either. I preferred the lesser sweetness than say, McDonald's, but that's just me.
Long story...
Read moreThere is absolutely nothing redeeming about this restaurant. We spent 40 minutes waiting on six tacos and one burrito in a mostly empty restaurant, and were only able to get refills on chips and water whenever we tracked down our waitress. Once the food did arrive it was mediocre and bland. The reasons for this horrendous experience made sense though as we were paying for our meal. While we were at the counter we heard the employees in the kitchen singing songs and listening to music. We saw empty and partially empty beer bottles all over the kitchen and witnessed employees drinking beer while standing around the grill (presumably they were supposed to be cooking). This would not be an issue, for us at least, if they were able to function effectively while drinking, which they were not. Keep in mind that this occurs in a restaurant that does not serve alcohol to its customers. Clearly La Fiesta Burrito cares more about its employees having an enjoyable time than its customers. There are far better Mexican restaurants in Lafayette, this one does not deserve your...
Read moreI come here all the time to the point where I’m greeted at the door by my name. This is my to go spot with a modelo on the side🤤but tonight was the worst experience I’ve had ever coming here. We order the kids chicken toacos with just cheese, their food was good and hot where you can see the cheese melted. My tacos where I added cheese, were not in fact hot nor was was my cheese melted. My taco shells were cold and tough. I called and I told him. He said he watched the cooks make the food. Ok, cook but you couldn’t have watched the entire 30 mins I waited for our food. You might’ve seen the chicken tacos get cook but my steak was tacos were cold and not appetizing. I wanted my food re cook, and fresh. They close at 8pm on Sunday so I stated I would be in on Tuesday and he says yea but it’s not getting replaced. I stated once again, I come here waay too often to be treated like this. Tuesday trust and believe yall gone see my face! I love my d**n tacos too much for this establishment to be playing...
