I had the unfortunate displeasure to meet HAILEY at the drive-through today. And just so she doesn't get confused she is the African American HAILEY. Big and tall. As soon as I pulled into the drive-thru she was immediately not listening to a word I was saying and when I asked her to just listen she proceeded to get very nasty with me. After I again told her just to be quiet and listen She finally put my order in and as I was pulling forward she purposely took my order out of rotation so that when I got to the window my order didn't exist. So she made me have to pull forward to wait to get my food. As I pulled up to the pay window the manager greeted me at the and asked me what my problem was, I explained it to her very clearly. As I was pulling forward to the 2nd window she allowed HAILEY to scream out of the pay window at me again. She allowed her to do it! There was never a question about if there was anything they could do to rectify the situation, nothing. And to top it all off when I got home my order was incomplete!!!! I haven't been to this McDonald's in 6 months and there is a reason. And I completely understand staff shortages but that is not the customer's fault and their frustrations shouldn't be taken out on us.
Update: I reported this incident and this employee's name to to corporate and I actually received a call back from them. They agreed with my frustrations and related to me that they have had more than their fair share of complaints about this particular store. They have put the franchisee on notice. And they assured me that there will be retraining at this particular store in the...
Read moreIn the golden glow of a languid afternoon, I found myself embroiled in a saga of absurdity and neglect at the very bastions of fast food—McDonald's. The stage was set for what should have been a seamless choreography of convenience and savings, thanks to their mobile app, which promised a delightful 30 percent discount, a boon for my large family. Yet, what unfolded was a farce so profound that it would have left even their jester mascot red-nosed in embarrassment.
As I nestled into the designated spot, the minutes began to stretch into an eternity, thirty to be precise, with the anticipation hanging thick in the air. The eventual emergence of a staff member did little to assuage the mounting dismay, for they bore only a fraction of our order, a mere third. Our attempts to bridge the chasm of our unfulfilled order were met with nodding heads and shuffled feet, yet what followed was a repeat performance, a delivery that yet again missed its mark.
The final act was as swift as it was shocking. With a haste that bordered on comedic, they hurled the last remnants of our order at us, as if to flee from the scene of their culinary crime, leaving no room for confirmation, no space for queries. As they vanished, we were left to reckon with the void of our incomplete feast, a tableau of missed items and dashed expectations.
This debacle, under the arches that promise so much joy, was a comedy of errors that ended not with laughter, but with a bitter taste of disappointment and disbelief at the sheer...
Read moreWhy is it my responsibility to make sure that the staff does what is expected of them? Just got a take out order from the drive thru at this establishment, no line, not busy but yet they had me pull ahead and wait for my food. No problem, I wasn't in no hurry. Finally, 5 minutes later, I get the food I ordered and me and my daughter went on our way. Once home, I noticed I was missing one Big Mac, luckily it was my dinner and not any of my kid's, they got everything they needed. I went back right away to get the missing sandwich, however, when I got there the lady at the window said that the grills were off and that they could not do anything about it. She suggested to write my name dowb and that I come back in the morning to get my big mac. Really? Didn't even offer a refund or an appology. Not complaining about the money, but the fact that their responsibility is to make sure customers get what they order right the first time. I know, probably my fault for not double checking the order, not the first time it happens so I should have known better than to expect anything more. Done...
