Last night after a day of doing Senior photos for one of my very best friends, their mother offered to buy dinner. We decided upon NomNoms. The name itself was cute and the menu looked tasty. I had never been to NomNoms. I was visiting from out of town. We had 6 meals, 2 appetizers and 2 orders of desert ordered for pickup. The total was roughly $140 Upon arriving at the building, the sign outside was pretty and I was hungry and excited. All those positive feelings changed though upon walking into the building. The music was very loud and the bass was comparable to a night club. Not somewhere one would expect to get food and sit and eat and have dinner conversation. The hostess that greeted us was hard to hear over the music. We told her we ordered food online. She said they didn’t have online available, we knew we had just ordered online. She wanted proof. We showed her the receipt. She wanted more proof, we had to call the person who made the initial payment to get them to send some other form of proof other than a receipt to show we ordered this food. This went on for roughly 15 min, meanwhile our food is sitting in bags next to the lady getting cold. I wish I could say that’s where this negative experience ended, but it wasn’t. She insisted that her main boss? Wanted more proof. Finally we provided what she wanted and were able to take our food home. We ordered multiple foods. I ordered the Birra tacos. The consume was not good. It looked like beef broth and wasn’t edible with the tacos, which had gotten cold from sitting for so long. My friend said her quesadilla was alright, but nothing special, her husband’s taco was cold. The only redeeming part of the experience was the guacamole was alright. I love Authentic Mexican food and this place just wasn’t it. They also had mediocre customer service which added to the cold food just wasn’t a good experience. I will never recommend and or return to this businesses. Which is unfortunate, because it is close to where we were. NomNoms is not what the name claims to be and the service is...
Read moreI'll preface by saying the food might be great at this restaurant. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to eat at this restaurant because I made the mistake of not realizing there were two locations. Absolutely my fault for not realizing that and heading to the downtown location with my daughter for dinner. While I announced my arrival prior to the reservation time, it took ten minutes for the downtown location to inform me I was at the wrong restaurant. I immediately called the Southside location to ask if it was okay that I would be 10-15 minutes late. I was given a very blunt "no". I explained that I was leaving immediately and was mistakenly at their other location. I was told I could not be late and would not be accommodated and they hung up. So, my disappointment was with the tone and rudeness of the individual on the phone. Consequently, I never intend to go to this restaurant when I'm in town in the future. There are far too many places to eat where the individuals are pleasant, even if they cannot accommodate...
Read moreI absolutely loved the ambiance at this place—it had the perfect vibe for a celebration. I celebrated my birthday here with my family, and everything from the atmosphere to the service made it truly special. One of the highlights was how accommodating the staff were. They kindly helped us store my birthday cake in their freezer until it was time to bring it out, which I really appreciated.
A special shoutout to our waitress, Izzy, who went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and friendly throughout the evening. She recommended some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had, and the food was equally impressive—delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor.
Thanks to Izzy and the rest of the team, my birthday dinner turned out to be such a warm, enjoyable, and unforgettable night. I’d definitely come back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great service and a...
