Smalls Sliders — Restaurant in Lafayette

Very underwhelming.

Seeing the line wrapped around this place for days, we had high hopes. Unfortunately expectations were not quite met.

The wait time was 45+ minutes, this isn’t smalls fault, but should be noted.

The lady taking the orders didn’t seem to be thrilled to be there, to be fair, I wouldn’t be either outside in 100 degree weather. Smalls should do something to get these ladies inside and on a mic in my opinion.

The drink itself (coke) was very good and crisp.

The fries would have been really good had they been cooked all the way, unfortunately they were not and half of them were soggy.

The burgers themselves are okay. I was not a fan of the smauce, it tastes like tartar sauce. I think the burgers would be better without the sauce.

Which leads me into my final reasoning for giving smalls a 2 out of 5 - They do not allow you to change or add toppings to individual burgers. I wanted to try different dressed burgers and see what was best, unfortunately was forced into 4 of the same.

We will come back once the hype is gone and try again, but as of now the current wait times are...

Outstanding Leadership and Unmatched Energy!

I’ve been to Small Sliders many times, but the experience is always on another level when Caliyah is running the show. She’s the kind of GM every business dreams of having — professional, upbeat, and absolutely dialed in to both her team and her guests. You can tell right away that she takes pride in every detail, from how spotless the place looks to how fresh and perfectly made every slider is.

What really stands out about Caliyah is her genuine energy and leadership. She makes sure every guest feels welcome, her crew stays motivated, and somehow she still finds time to personally check on customers with a smile. The atmosphere she creates is fun, fast, and friendly — exactly what keeps people coming back.

If every restaurant had a manager like Caliyah, dining out would always feel this good. She’s the heartbeat of that location, and it shows in every single visit. Five stars...

Food is great, but service was just awful! I was placing my order through the drive thru and the person who was speaking to us through the speaker was very impatient and a little rude(the line wasn’t even long) almost after every little thing I said I got a rushed “is that it?!” I have a gluten allergy so I asked for a couple patties with the toppings and no bun, then they said “no bun?!” With so much attitude. I asked 2 different people if the queso was gluten free, the first one said yes, I had a feeling that wasn’t right so we asked another person and they said no! Then we got to the window and the girl was about to send us off with only half of our food then when I opened the sauce cup that I purchased on the side it wasn’t even half full!
