I picked up to go tonight after calling in. While I was expecting a little of downtown overpricing because that is what tends to happen, I still wanted to give them a chance. I will say if you are getting a sundae, which is not cheap, at least it's still a pretty good size, although still for that price I find the ice cream is better at other places in town for a lower price and the brownies at the bottom were hard. As far as the shake goes, I HIGHLY regret not asking what size it was over the phone because while the shake tasted good, the shake for $10 was the size of a small cup......the cups thrown at Mardi Gras are larger......the shake is half the size of a large at a very well known local 80+ year old ice cream place a few blocks away but costs $3 more!!! I bit my tounge when I was handed that tiny cup for my shake because I was not going to be like that with people waiting behind me at the pickup window! Then there was the food......the fries were underwhelming and while we were told on the phone the order of fries was large enough for three, it's a stretch saying it was enough for two, just have a better idea of the product you are being asked about. The taste of the burgers were okay, but definitely nothing special about them because burgers were underwhelming. The size of the patties were very inconsistent, 3 burgers, three sizes of patties, none reached to the edge of the buns (one of them covered barely more than half the bottom bun...maybe 2/3) and the largest patty was on the kids burger. I want local places to succeed, so I was extremely disappointed in the prices for what we got in return, the underwhelming quality for the price and the inconsistency of the food. I am for second chances, but sometimes bad first impressions will destroy that opportunity and I don't see us going back. Not worth the $55 we spent!

Me, my father, and my sister visited today 4/3/24 for lunch and did not have a great experience. We arrived about 11:40am were immediately sat with menus. It took a couple minutes for us to receive our drinks which was fine. Our waitress took our order after about 5-10 minutes of us being there and we patiently waited for our food to come. Well about 20 minutes or so after we sat down, a few more customers walked in and were seated, and their orders were taken. Probably about another 10-15 minutes go by and those other customers received their orders before we did and we had put our order in well before they got there. We asked the waitress what the issue was and she said she forgot to put our order in so they were still working on it. It also was not packed at all when we were there. We let her know that I had to be at work very shortly so we’d need the order to go at that point, which she said she’ll have them rush the order. A few more minutes go by and we still had not received our order. We flagged her down again and said we still don’t have the order, to which she replied “so you want me to just cancel the order?”. She was so nonchalant about the whole thing like we didn't matter and she didn’t sound like she was sorry at all. Once we finally got our food, we immediately left. I opened the boxes of food when we got in the car to check it out and to try eating in the car, and the food was only warm, not hot at all. We waited all that time for our food to not be hot. Once I took a bite of my chicken sandwich, I was not impressed. It didn’t taste bad, but it didn’t taste great either. Mediocre at best. Needless to say, I don’t think we’ll be back. I wanted to enjoy this place so bad since I’ve heard good things about it especially with it being a local establishment but unfortunately a bad taste was put in our mouths...

My family has been to Sunday's many, many times since it first opened. Sometimes its just my husband and myself for a sweet treat while running errands, and sometimes it's a whole family day and we bring the kids. The food is always great, and the ice cream and assorted desserts are amazing. That being said, the service is bad, and I don't mean rude or disrespectful. I mean bumbling around, not sure who ordered what, and what food goes to what table, and also incredibly slow and has always been. Our final straw was this last weekend when it took 45 minutes for our order to come out, our order that consisted only of ice cream; one egg crème, one milkshake and one sundae. Actually only 2/3 of our order made it to the table before we told the waitress to cancel the ice cream sundae. We're almost positive it was made and brought to another table, and none of the staff noticed. This has always been an issue but we try to patron as many small businesses as possible, and we do really enjoy the food and ice cream at Sunday's. I am writing this review in hopes that whoever needs to see it does, and makes some management and server changes and maybe teaches the staff how to manage time and...
