Google Local Guide In the past two yrs. The City of Lafayette has taken great strides of cautionary measures against vacating the local parks, including Parc Sans Souci, of less than desirable behaviors amongst homeless ppl who would frequent the parks throughout the day. For this I commend those who were involved in doing so. The park seems much safer & cleaner now. I also see that families are starting to congratulate there with ease. I encourage the general public take advantage of this awesome spot to "hang out" with yourself by reading a book or with the entire family on those beautiful, sunny, warm Louisiana days. The park is there for your enjoyment. I've rated this park a strong 4 Stars due to the Lafayette Consoladated Government or whomever has authority over the removal of the security cameras that were installed within the park. Security cameras are a vital asset in the recovery of information such as evidence in case a crime were committed. I'm sure our local tax payers can see the needs for security cameras...
Read moreAbsolutely love the new playground addition to the park. Is it possible to install a unisex restroom to prevent ppl from urinating in public around children, especially females. Also, a public drinking water fountain would be exceptionally nice...very much needed. Compared to just two yrs ago, this park has come a long way in progress for the better. Cheers to putting a STOP to the out of control homeless ppl & their disrespectful, disregardful illegal acts in the park. Who cares if you've chosen to destroy your life by doing illegal activities like drug usage or being intoxicated in public at this park. That's your choice, so live with it. But...do your dirt & keep your dirt to yourself...not forcing us all to watch as you hit a Crack or Meth Pipe. When you do things like that than you're putting everyone in your business, so now those ppl who've you put in your business NOW HAVE A SAY SO. It's not as bad as it use to be, but it could be better is...
Read moreThursday night 7pm bought my granddaughter to the new park by the stage. The stage area was lite up with nothing going on at the stage. The park area was very very dark, my grandchild & another child only 2 there and they almost ran into each other its so dark. Not safe at all, 2 guys come right on us if I was not so observant of my surroundings I wouldn't have known they were there. It's a real shame , it seems downtown is dieing so quite not alot of shops open for being so early. Later went down Johnston Street and Moncus Park is lite up with know one there as it is everynite. I personal think that was a waste of electricity and land. Lafayette already has Girard Park and a Water Fontaine to play in. I really like to know who is in charge of what gets lights and what doesn't. I also HOPE more money is spent on downtown , it needs to...
