I like the atmosphere here. The dining room is all glass on two sides, letting in lots of sunshine or views of whatever the weather is like that day. The burgers are excellent. There is a little kick to them but not excessively so. The buns taste fresh baked, and I guess they probably are. While most every other burger place seems to use the same old hamburger bun, the unique flavor at Twins is a welcome change. You will notice gingerbread men for sale at the register where you place your order. Pick up a pair as they're the perfect dessert to go with your meal. The only disappointment to me are the fries. I like an old fashioned french fry like we had growing up. But I know each place has to put their own twist on it nowadays to set them apart from everybody else. I like the kind of fry that comes to mind when you think of diner fare. Twin's fries are extra crispy on the outside and there is something else going on here which is different but I can't explain it. To me, they are just alright, which is a disappointment to me as I want fries just as good as my burger. But still, I didn't deduct anything from my rating because you may love their fries and find them perfect. It's a matter of personal taste. This is among my favorite burger places but you know what? I don't always get a burger here because I love their egg sandwich just as much. The turkey burger is also excellent. So give them a try. You'll probably find something you like...
Read moreTwins is great. I was once a guy that had no luck with the ladies. I'd get to know them, they'd reject me, and I'd start over. Over and over again... until I went to Twins. I ordered the Evil Twin (extra jalapeños) and before I could sit down with my order number, several women approached me asking if I was a secret agent, professional wrestler, pacific northwest lumberjack. It got to the point where I started feeling uncomfortable so I slid off to the bathroom. In there I remarked aloud that the bathroom was remarkably clean and well maintained. Finally after wading through the scores of women asking me my number, I sat at my table and my food was promptly brought to me. Biting into the burger I felt a myriad of emotions. On one hand I longed for my first love but on the other I wanted conquest. A lust for blood and gold. The Evil Twin burger exposed something darker but grander within myself. After I ate it I immediately booked a ticket to Antarctica to search for fortune and fame. It's summer now here and I plan to plunge deep into the heart of the lost continent. I'll see you this...
Read moreThis place was highly recommended to me by a friend of mines and I was told there is great service and friendly people here. I sat on this review since my trip back home during Mardi Gras but I think I have to speak up. From the moment I walked in the atmosphere changed. I am not one to throw the race card but for this place I need to because people that were there greeted every Caucasian person that came in behind me but not once do anyone greet me. But i was not mad at all I still went to the counter and ordered while at the counter the young lady at the counter just looked at me as if I was disturbing her when clearly she could have spoke but I took it by a grain of salt and still processed to order. I felt rushed and totally disrespected and I own my own business and race should never play a factor in service but Louisiana is still stuck in the past. But I am not posting this to rant but it set heavy on my chest. With all that’s going on in the world I would rather say my peace just in case anything...
