Update: Again, I ordered a rapid pickup of a Bakers Dozen as I have for the last 18 months. My husband went to pick it up and all they had ready was six. After he asked why they only had six ready when I placed the order the afternoon before, the manager came out and said all they ever bake is six of one flavor per day. That’s crazy because for 18 months, we’ve ordered several bakers dozen Sesame and have never had a problem other than they tend to mix them in with the Everything flavor which I hate. The manager acted like that’s never happened so my husband asked him how we can order and pick up a dozen. The manager said they need a 3-day notice. Wow! So I guess I’ll start ordering them 3 days ahead of time and see how that goes. Previously: Ordered 5 Everything and 7 Sesame. AGAIN the order was switched. My husband loves Everything but he’s diabetic so he can’t eat much at one time. So now his will go stale and my supply will only last a week. Also PLEASE bag them separately so the spices from the Everything bagels don’t get all over the Sesame. This is the first time they were dumped all together. Finally, I had to have them delivered because the app wouldn’t allow me to order a rapid pick-up. Please do better so you won’t lose...
Read moreAbout a week ago, I went there on a whim for the first time in many years. A few cars were in the drive-through like usual, and the parking lot had some cars in it. I assumed the place would be a little lively when I walked in, but the atmosphere inside was strange. The lighting was dim, and the customers sitting at tables seemed oddly subdued. The counter area was empty. It was dinnertime, but no one was manning the registers. I was at the counter for several minutes, waiting to place my order. One staff member came up to the register without looking at me, entered something and then hurried away; I'm guessing she was clocking in and didn't work on the register. But while a couple staff were in sight working in the kitchen, no one acknowledged me or said they'd be out in a minute. The kitchen seemed busy, but if they were filling orders, it must have been for online orders or drive-through orders. I found the menu a little confusing (there was a "Pick 2" option for sandwiches, but I couldn't figure out if the price listed covered both sandwiches or only one of the sandwiches). I ended up leaving without ordering anything. I guess I should have used the...
Read moreI loved the idea, the trial, and the hot and cold coffee options.
However, at the speaker for window pickup on Ice Coffee Day 2, when I was handed the iced coffee, I noticed the syrup sitting at the bottom of the cup. The Panera employee said, “You will have to stir it.” Oh, okay! Sure, no problem. Easy stuff.
Again, at the speaker for window pickup, I was met with a late and odd greeting. I notice this happens regularly during mid-afternoons.
“Your order?” •Yes, pickup for [Name]. “Pull around.”
When I got to the window, it was a nice female employee with piercings who said, “Have a great day.”
Now, I am unsure if the rude microphone girl shape-shifts into the kind and respectful female with the nose piercings, or if it is two different people.
Either way, the girl with the headset has anonymity at the speaker, which is a beautiful thing. Highly doubtful she would use that tone every day at noon in the real world. Then again, it might just be me.
I will not be back. The trial was amazing, but the awful attitude will not get my coins. I...
