It was one of the best dining experiences that I have ever had, and I like my dining.
I sat at dining room bar which means that you are overlooking the food preparation and not the drink preparation (there is a traditional bar in the other room) so, think of this as a "chef's table" experience.
Started with a smoky negroni. I like Campari, and the smokiness and intensity of the mescaline overwhelmed the Campari. So, it ends up not truly resembling a Negroni, but once you accept that you are deviating from tradition, you realize that it is an exceptional cocktail.
The orange duck was the first course, and it was amazing.
Since we were going to share two entrees, and we let Chef Nick know that, he kindly offered to turn them into two courses. When you are around him, you will realize that you are around a truly talented chef who genuinely enjoys making people happy through his food.
The chicken (pictured) was the first entree course, and it was amazing. Crispy on the outside but perfectly tender and juicy. It's just delicious.
Chef Nick then surprised us with a sampling of the pork entree. We were not considering that entree until we saw it be plated (again, advantage of the "chef's table" seating). We must have been eyeing it with such awe that he felt compelled to give us a half entree of it, and it was amazing. I have never had pork made so perfectly. The flavors were amazing, and it was tender and juicy. The salad side to the plate was perfect.
Our final entree was the sea bass. Everything was, again, perfect. The mushroom emulsion is a perfect compliment.
Finally, dessert seems mandatory, so we opted for the salted caramel budino. So absolutely amazing. By this point, I was far too full to imagine finishing it, but I could have eaten two bowls of it had i not already been so stuffed. Delicious without being too sweet and with the crisps breaking up the consistency.
If you have a chance, you must visit this place.
Chef Nick and the staff were tremendous. Talented and friendly, they and their food made for a special evening.
The restaurant has a wonderful 1920s flapper/art deco vibe and is immaculate.
It is one of my favorite dining experiences ever, and I am looking forward to many more to come.
Thank you, Chef Nick, and the staff...

Gorgeous and welcoming hostess situated our party of four at an almost perfect table. Started with a well crafted Manhattan and Expresso Martini as we took in the live music which filled the restaurant enough to enjoy a conversation while adding to the energetic vibe. Ok then the magic begins.. our table started with the tuna tartare, whipped honey goat cheese beet salad and delectable garlic chili tiger shrimp. Absolutely fantastic! The portions are generous, easily shareable and properly served in two plates if one so desires. Our birthday celebrant ordered the filet and was ever so pleased, cooked to perfection, as was the pork chop and lamb lollipops, the blue lake green beans and charred broccolini complimented the meat selection perfectly. Emily, our lovely server, went the extra mile, perfectly detailing the different dishes, keeping an eye on us without being overbearing. Delighted with all and everyone who took care of us, the team worked together seamlessly and the kind thank you from Chef was the perfect ending touch. Absolutely recommend! The Drake has definitely secured a spot in our top...
