Five Guys — Restaurant in Lake Charles

I have read the reviews here and wonder what these people are thinking!?!? This IS NOT corporate death burger! This is freshly prepared and presented in front of you when you order food!!!! The employees always have a great attitude when I come in, and make sure everything is as I wanted it. Don't forget the peanuts while they prepare your meal!

The fries are made from fresh cut potatoes that day. If you don't want spicy fries DON'T get the cajun fries, it is that simple! They are the best fries I've had in Lake Charles. They give you enough fries to keep an Irishman happy for a week!

The burgers are FAR from the standard fast food chains. To say you got a regular burger at a higher price MUST mean you DID NOT use any of the 15 NO COST add on's! You will make a mess eating these burgers, so get a fork. The one thing missing from the add on's is avocado.

The veggie burger is far better than the veggie sandwich from down the road at Jason's Deli, (not that it's bad) and cost much less as well.

Ordered 3 burgers and a large fry to share. All three burgers were made wrong. 2 of them had wrong toppings; no big deal take off what you don't want. The third was a bacon cheese burger with 2 pattys. It was given to us with one patty no bacon and wrong toppings. I brought it to the counter explained I would like the other patty and the bacon. He said we did not pay for the 2nd patty but gave me the bacon. I looked at the receipt and it showed my double burger to be 3 dollars cheaper than the bacon burger. The menu by the register showed that we did intact order a double with bacon. I brought this to the assume to be managers attention. We were denied the 2nd patty we paid for. I love 5 guys. The only bad experience I've had has been at this 5 guys. (3 out of the 4 times I've gone) unfortunately this is the only one within reasonable driving distance from where I live. I'll give it another chance in a year or so. I hope this place eventually gets some decent management. It is truly saddening that I can only enjoy my favorite burger place once or twice a year when I have one 10 miles...

Five Guys, your burgers are good. Hell, they're really good! A fresh ground meat patty cooked just like a juicey homemade cheeseburger your momma use to cook on the stove. Delicious! The fries were cut fresh, fried, and seasoned. If your getting the cajun fries, tell them light on the seasoning. I like spice (heat) not a lil heat and a ton of salt. My wife's regular salted fries were alright. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The seating gives you the feeling I should have got it to go, BUT I needed that seating when I looked at the bill! It was OVER $40 for me and my wife. For 2 Cheeseburgers, 1 - small (1 meat patty), and 1 - regular (2 meat patties), 2 large fries (1 - cajun and 1 - regular salt) and 2 small drinks. Over $40! And we didn't get a free t-shirt, cup or hat. Me and the wife just wanted to check it out so I paid for it. Yes, the burgers are really good, but the Burger meal shouldn't be $20 a person.
