Big Bear Pizzeria — Restaurant in Lake City

Most of the time the food is good but it is inconsistent one time I ordered the chicken bacon ranch wrap it was so full of bacon bits you couldn’t even taste anything else, other times I ordered a taco wrap and sometimes it comes with olives and sometimes it doesn’t so I called and asked why? And the girl had said it depends upon who is cooking because sometimes not everyone follows the recipes (that’s comforting) Yesterday I ordered a small pizza, plain wings, and breadsticks. I ate the pizza but I fell asleep because I had been golfing all day when I woke up I ate a breadstick and noticed that they were all burnt. I tried to just eat them anyway....but they were tough and really did not taste good (by this time it was after hours so I decided to call in the morning to see if I can just get some new ones) I called and an older lady answered the phone. This is where my problem stars! I don’t care about the food things happen but when I called the lady immediately questioned me as to why I didn’t call last night so I explained, she then went on that if this were to happen again that I would be out of luck that I needed to call the day of. I understand! she then went on as to how many breadsticks I ate? I said I ate two she stated that she would need to see the burnt ones. I said ok that I would send them back with the delivery driver! (not sure how this goes with covid 19 standards and guidelines but ok not a problem) She asked for my address and then hung up on me! a few minutes later a really nice girl called me back and just needed my name and apologized for the burnt food...as I was on the phone with this girl I heard the older lady in the background complaining about me! This is not OK I am a paying customer who received burnt food! I did not call to complain I just called to fix it! That’s all! As I was talking to the girl I told her that I could hear the lady in the background complaining about me and that she had an attitude and then every girl replied with “ya that’s just the way she is.” I know from managing several restaurants this is not OK and if I were the owner this lady would be fired immediately for the complete lack of customer service and complete disrespect towards a customer who just wanted to fix a problem for food that they had paid for and for this reason I will never order or even eat big bear again. I then told the girl I no longer wanted the breadsticks and that I would be writing this review. SO...

Big Bear Get N Go Pizzaria- extra props for caring enough & going out of your way to save me from a possible severe/fatal soy allergic reaction! After delivering a pizza & chicken dinner ordered by our son & daughter-in-law from Phoenix, Arizona as a birthday surprise for my husband - You drove back to our house (cuz you didn't have our # & couldn't reach my son) to let us know you had rechecked the ingredients & found soy in one of them & to warn me before I ate anything! This is small town living at its best! Thank you for going the extra mile & rechecking ingredients!! You Rock! BTW - my husband loved his lunch! Thank you, also, to our son & daughter-in-law: RYan FRye & Lindsay Deason Frye for the thoughtful surprise! You sent a huge Phoenix hug!!!! P.S. to Ry & Lindsay: I had left over pizza Jeff had made me the other night so very belly was happy!...

This is our go to pizzeria when we are in Lake City, but they offer so much more. Breakfast, lunch buffet, deli, hard ice cream and a lot more. Stopped by for a pickup and while I waited took a look around. Open seating area with plenty of tables and chairs, side area for a private group, couple tables upstairs in the deli and a large outdoor patio area. We usually order a thin crust but opted for their normal crust and once again not disappointed. Cooked to your specification of crust, one can enjoy a more darker, crunchy or a lighter, chewier texture. Supreme came nicely loaded with Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Black Olives, Bell Peppers, Mushrooms, Canadian Bacon and plenty of cheese. A good pizza sauce melds all the ingredients together. Staff were friendly and took the time to give me a look see to make sure the crust was cooked...
