They were extremely busy, and we had to stand and wait for roughly 20 minutes. Normally not a big deal but I have a sprained knee and it was incredibly sore, and no extra seats to let us sit in. Even though several empty seats at the bar? We were finally seated along with the four people behind us. They got their drinks and an appetizer immediately. We waited at least 20 minutes for a waitress to come to our table and another 10 for our drinks. She said she was also serving a 20 person group, so I tried to be understanding. I was a waitress a long time ago. So I get that part. What I didn't get, is we were no more than 15 feet from the drink machine and it still took at least 10 min.
They should really consider revising their menu. I ordered the Jack Daniels chicken sandwich, according to the menu it only came with the chicken breast and Jack Daniels glaze, and I also added tomato. What it came with was onions, cheese and bacon, their so called Jack Daniels sauce? BBQ sauce. My sandwich was very soggy. It also said nothing about coming with fries and it did, I don't eat fries. Read moreSooo on the fourth of July I was initially going to Italian Pizzeria and Restaurant. When I got there they were closed. My next option was The Tavern Ribs and Rolls. As I'm walking across the street to the Restaurant I noticed this Amazing Aroma! I immediately changed my direction to OUR PLACE PIZZERIA AND ITALIAN RISTORANTE. I was greeted by Bali and I sat at the bar where Dylan was serving. I'm not that familiar with Italian dishes so I didn't know what to order, but I knew what I wanted (pasta, meat sauce, grilled chicken and cheese). So as I'm talking with Dylan about what I wanted because it wasn't on the menu I remembered I had taken a picture of the dish that enticed me to go the first restaurant. I showed it to him and he and Bali teamed up like Robin and Superwoman to help create my fourth of July meal! The talked with the chef and came back to let me know they had me taken care of! When Dylan brought out the prepared dish it was like he was carrying a sacred artifact! I could tell they were proud of the way they made this happen for me! I ordered the Chicken Francais. It was cooked perfectly. My only concern was the pricing and worry that they will loose customers.
Other restaurants have a similar dish with different names. For example, Big Louie's Pizzeria in the Broward County area close to a large shopping district has a very similar dish…chicken cutlet in a lemon butter with a white wine sauce. Difference is, the one at Big Louie's Pizzeria has capers, bits of roasted peppers and twice the chicken (2 cutlets instead of 1 at Our Place) and is served on a bed of angel hair pasta, which goes better with the dish since it complements the light lemon butter white wine sauce better than the linguine noodles.
Every chain will put their own twist on a particular dish, but when you charge $3 more for a dish and get half of the main protein…that’s an issue especially when you charge just under $21 for a dish in a location that’s away from the main commercial district in a much smaller town.
