It’s funny that you say that is the experience you had, Judi. I come here to review the location after driving home to Jacksonville. After driving 11 hours, seeing the Popeyes advertisement from I-10 was making my mouth water. When I got to the restaurant I was under the immediate impression of “my lord this was a bad decision.” All until Morgan come out of the kitchen. As soon as she seen me she greeted me as if she has known me encouraging her front line and kitchen staff as they were EXTREMELY busy. She was going back and forth to do whatever she could to help, I even noticed her demand fresh chicken be cooked as the chicken in the window “was not fresh” assuming that was to her liking for her customers. As the lobby got more crowded she encouraged everyone to have a seat and she would bring the food out, and that she did. When the ordered began dying down Morgan was out in the lobby cleaning the drink machine and spraying off the tables from the rush. I stopped her as she offered to take my empty tray to the garbage and asked her was it always this busy? She replied by saying we have our days but it’s hardly noticeable whenever you love what you do and are able to make a difference. I asked how long she’s been working here and it blew my mind whenever she told me it had only been there for 4 months. I asked how the Popeyes management training was and she advised me they actually send their managers to a mandatory three month training where they stay in another city at larger stores with the best store managers to learn what they can and “bring it all home.” I asked another employee about Morgan and she said that she has worked for this store for 2 years and has had SEVERAL managers but nobody has ever treated the store as good as Morgan has.
I only come here to leave a 5 star review but after seeing your comment about Morgan specifically I had to share my personal experience. I’m quite sure the explained attitude from Judi is far from the truth. We have to understand these fast food places remain so busy and understaffed or staffed with staff that aren’t worth a dang at all. But I tell you right now. Every store restaurant needs a MORGAN and I stand behind that from...
Read moreI would give it a 0 if I could use to eat here every week or more whoever is in charge of the place now doesn't care about the service or the food I ordered 2 $10.00 boxes with the 4 mixed with 4 sides and I got home and saw that it was spicy and not mild and I got got two sides instead of the four I should have had in each box even though I showed them that they gave me a breast and a thigh and not the two breasts I ordered.the extra biscuit I ordered the girl who was making my order didn't want to give it to me yet I paid for it and they are supposed to have honey for the biscuits nope not even a single pack of blacked ranch in the place now why would I want tenders if you don't have any of the stuff I like to dip it in .my son's box was the same way I was trying so hard to get her job done right that even after we made sure the that the boxes were supposed to get 4 regular sides we still didn't receive but two . This place is giving Popeye's a bad name it is the minimum of everything you expect to be when you pay hard earned money for the food you can get at a different Popeye's and I will be going to the starke location from now on this is a discrace of the best fried chicken and I will eat here again when you people have a meeting and fire probably 90 %of the useless and get some people to do the work right for the people who pay for the food that they deserve to be done with the care and professionalism that this great franchise deserves before you leave it in the dumpster fire you have created...
Read moreThe two stars is because of the tasty food we eventually got. I spent in excess of 30 minutes inside the store waiting on my order, 20 pieces of chicken. At first I was told I would have to wait 12 minutes. Then an additional 5 minutes. Then two and a half more minutes. The sense of timing in this place is not very good at all. It was very frustrating to see my food being sold to others while the final pieces of my order were being assembled. First they were out of spicy chicken. Then they were out of biscuits. Then they were out of mac and cheese. There were other guests that were delayed because of the shortages as well. I did observe managers having a lengthy discussion in the back of the store. After 15 or 20 minutes they came out with a new sign to put up about a mandatory meeting coming up in a few days. There was evidently plenty of urgency about getting that sign up, but none whatever about taking care of guests. This restaurant was not busy. They were about six other counter guests that came up while I was there (all of whom were eventually served before me, some of my food). When I arrived there was no one in the Drive-Thru line though I did see three or four guests come through, again leaving with some of my food. The food that was supposed to arrive at our gathering for tip-off finally made it just before half-time. The staff thoughtfully included a box of cajun fries for my trouble, but left out two of our other sides. We will not bother with this location again for a...
