Ice cream was delicious with lots of variety. Service was...interesting. One customer was sitting at the counter while several others were waiting in line. One employee ignored the customers in line, ensuring she finished her conversation with the counter customer. A second employee came from the back (presumably making counter customer's order) to deliver what he'd made to counter customer's order. He proceeded to converse with counter customer, while first employee walked to the back once her conversation was done (still ignoring customers in line). Third employee walked to front, looked around, and then returned to the back.

We in line didn't wait that long, but it was still a pretty unusual that one customer received that much attention while the rest of us stood around waiting for...

Hands down the greatest lifetime gift for our family. We have been traveling to Lake City every summer for Independence Day since 2015. In that time we have watched our kids and the Hartman grandchildren get bigger and bigger. We have developed great relationships with this family and made some of our favorite memories sitting around San Juan Soda Co. Not only that, we have used this ice cream to coerce our kids to stop whining on vacation no less than 6,000 times. It works! You won’t find a better business or better people anywhere, but can find them in the most soul filling spot in North America, Silver Street in Lake City, CO. You literally cannot miss it. I tried root beer float with vanilla ice cream and another float with peanut butter cup. I like the vanilla float better.

I had butter pecan and cookie n cream ice cream. Butter pean was great and my sister had roasted coconut, I got to try some and I think roasted coconut is the best, not too sweet and very creamy.

You can always ask to try any flavors you would like before purchasing.
