Recent visit to Lake City, where I spent some of my early youth back in the 70s. Walking around the park, I spotted some WWII Aircraft paintings in a local gallery. Big fan of WWII aviation, so we had to go in. Met the owner/operator/artist Russ Brown and a great conversation. Very talented and his work was impressive. Prices for the paintings we liked were reasonable, but we are RVing so no room. Read moreRuss Brown is an amazing artist and even more amazing and genuine man. I have endless respect for him. I lived in LC for about 3 months, 14 yrs ago (2009). His paintings really started my love for art, and now I have a decent collection of art from many different artists and photographers (mostly amateur and street artists & photographers). We also had great conversation on that visit, and each returning stop in. Thank you Russ for sparking my love for art, and the incredible painting that I purchased from you. This is a memory that will...

On one wall were beautiful Colorado landscapes etc. On the other wall were amazing paintings of military hardware, mainly aerial. What a contrast! We were immediately captivated, viewing one piece after another. Mr Brown is a very kind, interesting and engaging man. He patiently addressed our many questions regarding his art, his life, his philosophies. One of the best finds I’ve ever come across. He and his studio are wonderful treasures. When in Lake City, this is...
