Taqueria Los Pinos — Restaurant in Lake Dallas

Just found this quaint gem today tucked over in Lake Dallas near 35 and Hundley. The staff here is really nice and courteous. I had alot of questions which I always do at a new taqueria…and they didn’t seem to mind at all. This tune I got 5 tacos but those gorditas on the time looked appetizing so I’ll get some next time. Order Pastor and steak with corn tortillas and bacon and egg with flour…so I could try out both lunch and breakfast. What a pleasant surprise I liked all of them! That’s rare on a first try. The tortillas were fresh and maybe made on site or just a very good supplier. The pastor and steak were flavorful and not fatty. I've had tacos from many places; Los Tacos Banqueta, Salsa Verde, Fuel City, and many other top tier taco shops. Los Pinos beats them all! This family run taquaria puts the effort in to make the best tacos you can get your hands on anywhere. The tortillas were slightly crisp and packed with meat but still a good pairing with the cilantro and onion. Don't forget the green sauce! Their's is fresh with just the right amount of heat I like. And not just tacos! Gorditos, tortas and burritos available too. Park behind the Goody Goody store in the back parking lot because the strip center Los Pinos is located in has too small of a parking lot. Many flavors of Jarritos cold and waiting for you. Call in and get them to go or dine in, you won't be sorry. Very much worth the drive...

From the exterior, there's only a banner as a sign. Inside, it's small, but very clean. I was dubious at first when I saw it, but decided to give it a try. Upon walking in, the place smelled fresh...super clean! I bought a burrito to try out and the ladies there were very polite and welcoming. The burrito was of a good size, very tasty and authentic! Much better quality than Chipotle for sure. Sauce came along on the side in case u wanted to use it....and it too was tasty! The overall experience merits 5 stars! The customer service, food and cleanliness made it a GREAT spot for authentic Mexican food. This is a place I will surely...
