Alright, first, real talk, the chicken hard tacos are fire, I recommend popping em in the microwave for 50 secs and GG, melts the cheese perfectly and they're just hot enough to not burn the hell out of your mouth, but you wanna eat em right after or they'll obviously get soggy from the oil and fall apart. I can't speak for their other food though, all I can say is the other location can't make Mexican food for s* other than tacos, but I don't know if it's the same case here I'd be scared to chance it tbh lol. Now this may be false because I haven't eaten at both locations side by side on the same day, but the chicken here did seem to be more fresh and moist and that's surprising considering I got there just before closing so it had to have been sitting there all day and the worst of their scraps and I couldn't tell, so credit due.
Second, two reasons to come to this location over their other one. 1.) it's open later. 2.) customer service is nicer, I don't mean like they were especially friendly or anything just that the chick who takes orders at the other...
Read moreMy wife just went to Tacos Elsinore #2 and was treated horribly. She phoned in a pick up order and allowed 10 extra minutes just in case they were busy. When she got there, no one was in line. She stood there and waited the cashier looked at her and said nothing. A man walked up next to her and started speaking spanish to the cashier and she adjusted his order and helped him on the register. Totally ignoring her! Another man came up who was waiting started to speak to her in spanish, she finished with him and turned to the cooks to change his order. Then she continued to start to bag to go orders that weren't even ready. Then she started to serve a table a plate of food. Finally my wife asked if the to go order was ready. The cashier had the nerve to just say "yeah" and look at her. This isn't the first time a member of my family had felt mistreated, lets face it if you're not Latino, you are treated differently. We shrugged it off in the past as being busy, not anymore. We will no longer be patrons and urge you to think twice about giving these...
Read moreFirst time here, and it was decent. Coming from San Diego, we're used to really authentic Mexican food. There's a taqueria on nearly every corner, so a lot of competition there, and nearly all have true "Baja style" burritos - meat, guac, salsa, and cilantro. That's it. Taquerias compete mainly on the taste of their meats.
Here, I was disappointed to see the cheap fillers. My carne asada burrito was almost half rice. The meat was tender, but not terribly flavorable
Also grabbed a fish taco, and it was "odd?" For some reason, someone decided to chop the breaded fish fillet intro bite-sized pieces, which ruined the "crunchiness." It was also covered in cheddar cheese? (Pro tip: cheddar is a British cheese, and tastes nothing like authentic Mexican cheeses). And they used lettuce instead of the traditional cabbage.
Overall, not horrible, but no real...
