I was driving my mom home after she donated blood and my dad wanted a burger. Since she wasn’t feeling up to making something at home we opted to go out. I was originally going to head to the Hole in the Wall Burger since we liked that, but dad wanted something different and new. There’s this newer place called Angelo’s I think he was referring to, but as we looked at the map I noticed, Burger Town U.S.A, and I knew damn well we had to try that. I mean come on that’s a cool name.
So we get there. It’s pretty empty save for some dudes enjoying a meal. Initially I’m pretty stoked by the interior design because it had a 60s and 70s diner vibe. But after we ordered that’s when I started to notice things. I got a drink and went over to the soda machine. The self serve was fine. But the one behind the counter had some ants on it. So.. that wasn’t great to see. There was this.. coin pusher game near the enterance that looked. So old. And there was one of those candy dispensers that you put a quarter in to get candy, only.. they were empty. So why have them at all? No music, just the tv playing the news.
While waiting for our meals I leaned on the divider between where people line up for food and some booths and I felt.. idk how to describe the feeling. It felt like it needed to be cleaned. Or dusted. I don’t know what it was. I checked my hand and it wasn’t dirty or anything but.. there was still the oddest sensation when touching that surface.
The food itself: eh. Honestly that’s probably because we didn’t end up ordering a burger from a placed called Burger Town. We got a patty melt with onion rings, Chicken strips And fish and chips.
My dad loved a good patty melt. We should’ve tried a burger because he didn’t like the patty melt. I don’t hold it against anyone there however because I’m general my dad can be rather picky. I had the chicken strips because in general whenever I see chicken strips on a menu anywhere I have to try them. They were aight. Not bad. Pretty good for the price paid. And I tried part of a fish strip and that was alright. A little salty. The fries though… I don’t know what the heck happened there. They were the kind of fries that are hot and crispy but also somehow chewy. Nice and thick. I wanted to stop eating them because they weren’t like.. good French fries. But I just kept eating them even though I wanted to stop. Weird.
I think I wanna go back. Try this place again since this was like the first time I ever went there. And maybe try a burrito or a burger. The burrito did look rather appetizing and it was criminal I didn’t try a burger at burger town lol.

Read moreLooking at this objectively this place does several things really well. They offer large portions of budget friendly food and super fast service. Seriously, what they lack in finesse is not relevant because they don’t skimp on the main reason you are there. Now sure the service can be a little rough around the edges, for instance they don’t have the best PA system, ask you too many upsell questions or try to wow your socks off but on the upside, you get exactly what you order, nothing less, nothing more . So there’s no “want fries with that” or wasted condiments, napkins or mind reading. You want something ask for it. It’s nothing personal it is just their business style. The burgers are great, the combos are great, the zucchini is the best around and we try them everywhere. The breakfast burritos can feed 2 hungry men and their BLT’s are spot on. Add a pickle. They have been in this location since I was in my 20’s and I am 50 now. So long ago there was a Chuck E Cheese next door. What they do really well is deliver good food at the best possible value in the shortest possible timeframe. So skip McDonalds, Burger King and the likes and try Burger Town USA. Then, while you stuff your face don’t forget how little it cost and how much you got for your money and...
Read moreHey, I really enjoyed it. The woman, who I'm assuming was the owner, was chipper and friendly. And not in an annoying robotic way, she was genuinely nice and cheerful. That made me feel great about the food I was about to devour.
I don't think people actually realize how important it is to a costumer, especially being their first impression and first time ordering, that the person taking the order gives a good impression but I'll tell you makes a huge difference. It's all about the warm-up and she nailed it like a rock star.
There is also something very comforting about the walk in entrance that seemed to put me at ease. There must be some feng shui magic going on here because that long, straight to the register, path stood out to me right away. I felt like I was walking to an awards ceremony red carpet. Perfect for when I'm about to order food.
This classic style joint has all the regular favorites. From burgers to gyros to burritos to cheese steaks and an entire breakfast menu to match the lunch and dinner menu.
