I haven't been here in years and was originally coming here tonight because I had planned on cooking my own food at the table like Korean BBQ. Come to find out, this establishment doesn't offer that anymore; the grills in the tabke still remain as a reminder. I stayed for the service as it was impeccable. I'll go again for the food as everything we ordered was spot on. We enjoyed the chicken satay and the fresh roll appetizers that were promptly brought before our meal. My party opted for the shrimp with our spring rolls. The attention to detail on the presentation as well as the preparation was just perfect. Solid bite of everything in the roll to balance the flavors; just as I would make them at home. The chicken satay could not have been cooked better. Still moist with just the right amount of bite to remind you you're eating meat. The pork fried rice was done very well and bursting with flavor and the steak for my crying tiger was absolutely perfect and tender. The sauces are what will make you crave this place. The peanut sauce with our satay and the fresh rolls is a wonderful balance of nutty and sweet while the lime sauce is salty and slightly pungent and just keeps reminding you there is more food on the table to dip in. The lime suave does not have an overly powerful fish sauce taste (that I personally enjoy) but it is still just as addictive and likely well suited for people not accustomed to fish suace. With the impeccable service this place is a...
Read moreI was introduced to Thai Garden by a self-professed connoisseur of all foods Asian - especially Thai. Regardless of having my own favorite Thai haunt, I agreed to tag along - besides, he was paying.
Summary, I haven't been back to my once favored Thai restaurant. Thai Garden has not only become our new Thai of choice, but also for every friend we now drag along.
My teenage son, too, has become a Thai zombie, frequently tromping about the house groaning "Thai Garden - I must have Thai Garden." From him, this means two orders of their extraordinary Crying Tiger. It's the best I've had anywhere. I also suggest adding a few drops of the spicy red-pepper to the Crying Tiger dipping sauce. And don't forget to also dip the lettuce into this sauce, along with the beef - it's treat you'll never forget!
Other must delight dishes are Pad Thai (again, the best anywhere), Pineapple Fried Rice, Coconut Soup, Beef/Chicken Satay, Thai BBD Chicken, and Thai Garden Sweet & Sour.
Besides excellent Thai cuisine, Thai Garden provides superior service. The restaurant is clean, fresh, open, and every server is warm, friendly and eager to help you make the best choices for your particular palate. If all this weren't enough, Thai Garden is also reasonably priced. In fact, considering the extraordinary quality of food, I'd say their cheap. They're...
Read moreI asked if they could make me a Thai iced tea without half-and-half because I am lactose intolerant. I asked if they could substitute coconut milk. In my experience going to Thai restaurants, this is an easy accommodation because they already have coconut milk on hand. I talked to two different servers and they were completely unwilling to help me out with this simple request. It made me sad. They said they do not make accommodations for people that are lactose intolerant or are vegan, and that the coconut milk is reserved for the food and not for drinks. I ordered the pad see ew. It was not mixed efficiently and was lacking a lot of flavor. It was very bland and disappointing, but because of my previous issue with the Thai ice tea, I just tried to trudge through it and get it over with. I have had outstanding food here many times in the past. I am not sure what has happened, but I am very disappointed in the service and quality of the food. Definitely looking for another place to go and I hope in the future, they are able to be a little bit more flexible in accommodating people who have dietary...
