This is not my typical Marriot experience. I booked two rooms for 2 nights through Expedia; One for my wife and myself and the other one for my mother and my daughter. Expedia will not allow me to book two different rooms type " king and 2 queen-bed" So I booked two king ones as I do usually and the receptionist usually changes it for free or for a fee. " I travel a lot all over the world and we always do upgrades for a bigger room, better room, higher floor, ...etc" We arrived late almost midnight as we were impacted by the travel delay. The receptionist initially did not honor the breakfast that I paid for as he said he does not have it in his system because it is a third-party "Expedia". I showed him the reservation and then he added it to my booking unhappily. Then I asked him to give me one king room and one 2 queen. he said there is a price difference and I told him I am willing to pay for it. He said he can not do it and I have to call Expedia at 12 midnight. I told him my mom had a foot injury and everybody is tired after the long travel. He said" I am sorry, but it is not my problem" and he refused to offer any help. When asked for a manager, he said he can only give me his phone number. I failed to talk to anyone and he was stubborn not to help. I started to get irritated as it was after midnight and I told him I will pay for any price difference. at that time, he threatened to call the police and he threatened to cancel my reservation. I told him please call the police, but he canceled my reservation and claimed to put me on a " banned list" No problem, we stayed at the Hilton next door and the following night we stayed in the courtyard in the spectrum. Read moreWe booked a room for 2 adults plus sleeper sofa for our daughter, we were assigned a king bed with no sleeper sofa when and when I went back to front desk to point it out, the representative said that's what we booked. I went back to the room, took a picture of the mini armchair with footh rest and returned to ask him if that looked like a sleeper sofa ?!?! So dispite the fact we had a reservation with a sleeper sofa and I took a pictrue of the room fir him he kept insisting that that's what we booked denying the evidence that the room did not have a sleeper sofa. He is obviously not qualified and doesn't know what he's selling. He said he'll send someone to help us set it up.....like if we were stupid and did not know how a sleeper sofa looks like. Infact when the room attendant came he said that the room did not have a sleeper sofa prooving our point. We went back to the front desk with the room attendant and finally were given a room with a sleeper sofa. After moving all our stuff from one room to the other we realized that the 3rd bed wan not made and we were not provided sheets, pillows blankets for it wither. In a place that carries a Marriott brand name I would expect that if you have a reservation for 3 people the 3rd bed is prepared and not that the guest has to make it himself, what kind of customer service is that?! Here I go again to the front desk to ask for linens. Also once we went to take a shower we realized no amenities were provided, no soap, no lotion, no nothing by the sink and the shower dispensers with shower gel and shampoo were empty! At this time I lost count of how many times I had to ask for something and one of us had to go back to the front desk to ask for toiletries. Lastly the cleanliness was questionable, night stand shades were cracked and shower curtain was disgusting. Would not stay here again, expected...
