Store manger (Taylor) hung up on me after another store manager (Jordan) lied about which division of Home Depot store or 800 should be taking care of the problem which they created. After a dozen phone calls to both the store and customer service with no resolution we are now at corporate level complaints being filed. If you think you want to work with Home Depot on Flooring I highly suggest that you RUN the other direction of doing so with this company. Long story short, the installer shows up to install the carpet and states that Home Depot did not Order enough carpet to complete the job. The installer called his boss to explain and I promptly called into the Store and spoke to Jeff who was going to "help" resolve the issue. After three follow up phone calls from Jeff he stated that the measurements were done incorrectly and the they were going to order the missing carpet. Once Monday rolled around I reached out to follow up with the store and spoke with Glen who confirmed that no additional carpet had been reordered and is looking into the matter as to what happened. Four days later and a dozen more phone calls to the store and 800 number we get to Jordan "a manager" who is unable to find anything specific regarding our order and starts going over random measurements which do not apply to the Floor Plan and quote that I paid for. Jordan w informed me that because my purchase was completed through Home Depots measure department the store is not responsible and that I need to call them. After three more phone calls to the measure department they confirmed that the store is 100% responsible for after sale service, this is confirmed through some of the emails from Home Depot as well. I call back to the store and Taylor another "manager" takes my phone call, I again explain the issue to which he takes a few moments with the department to come up with a solution and calls me back offers me $200 to which I argue that this is not sufficient to which he abruptly hangs up the phone. Meanwhile, I have approx. 184 square feet of carpet sitting (Jordan actually told me that this is extra aka waste) in the house uninstalled because of the inept employees and management team of Home Depot. According to their logic and not the written measurements, they sold me DOUBLE the amount of carpet (which wasn't the correct amount needed) to complete our install according to the written quote. Taylor's words "you got what you paid for" and what I paid for was 184 Square feet of unusable, uninstalled carpet. To Be Continued after the corporate complaint is...
Read moreI had to write a review on the paint department, in particular Mickey. Mickey saved my bacon. I am remodeling a rental property and needed some paint to match the existing cabinets for some touch-up. I went to the Brea Home Depot, got a quart color matched with a cabinet door. It was not close to matching. Took it to the Anaheim Hills Home Depot to see if they could add some color to the existing quart to get it closer to a match. That seemed to bother the paint guy and left with no help. Went back to the Brea store to see if they could help and the paint guy there was the rudest. It was Sunday afternoon, but he was accusatory saying it was my fault and the picture I showed him could have been off because of the flash or lighting. I will put the exact picture I showed him. After almost coming to blows with this guy I left the Brea HD so angry with their customer service. I then tried the Home Depot in Lake Forest the next morning to see if they could help. Mickey listened to my dilemma with the Brea store and said he would match it exactly. I grabbed a few items and came back to the paint desk, and Mickey had matched the cabinet color with a paint, and it was spot on. I know this review is long, but the ordeal I went through to get the right paint to match needed to be explained. Mickey, you're a life saver, I appreciate all you did and your knowledge of paint. Thank you Sir... The attached picture is of what I showed the Brea HD paint guy and he accused me of using a flash or the lighting. He should not be in a position of customer service or help. I would think even if you're colorblind you could tell that is...
Read moreI rented a van to move some furniture. It was the first time I had rented anything from Home Depot the store was going to close at 8 PM and I was cutting it really close when I called in they said that I would have to bring the vehicle back before 9 o'clock the next day if I couldn't make it back by 8 PM that night but that was really inconvenient for me it would've cost more money. So I rushed and got back as fast as I could and I made it back at about 8:02. When I looked into that department it was closed so I figured it was going to be a big hassle to return the van the next day fortunately I saw an employee walking outside and asked him if he could help me return it even though it was past 8 PM. he said no problems go inside I'll take care of it so needless to say I was quite happy. His name is JERRY CAMBELL he is extremely courteous and definitely top-of-the-line employee. I never felt like he was upset or that I pressured him into doing something that he didn't really have to do. so I just want to say thank you Jerry for incredible customer service I am a truly satisfied customer because of...
