Let's dump $100k into atmosphere and provide high-end vino to a discerning group of well-off patrons...And then run it like a Denny's restaurant. 10 staff members walking around, none of them are "your server." We waited several minutes sitting next to the bar for service, I finally got up and asked the bartender for 2 Sangrias, "Please wait for your server." "Ok...Who would that be?" No answer. The world is full of negativity and we only wish success to the owners and management. Please spend some time cultivating the staff. It's a wine bar, no one should be without a drink from the first 1-2 minutes upon arrival, regardless of who the server is. It's not Denny's, it's a glass of wine and we're not camping there, feed us wine without a hassle so we can move on. The payment method took nearly as long as asking for a drink. But, great atmosphere. One bit of advice to the management, I'd bet you think you want people to stay, so you drag the process out...I promise, if you flip the script and make people feel like they can stop by for a quick drink, easy in, easy out...It'll boom and people that want to camp there, still...
Read moreThis chic little establishment is a welcome addition to LHC, especially for those of us who prefer to drink fine wine! (They also serve beer). The decor is upscale and eclectic, with an antique car as the bar. The full selection of wine is enormous, but I am usually happy with whatever they are pouring from behind the bar that day for $6 a glass. Also, serve yourself wines are available at the wine bar in tasting size and 6 oz options. It's a great way to try a number of different labels. Their red and white sangrias are very popular. The charcuterie boards are amazing and always a hit with a group. Plus the daily panini and other specials make for a lot of variety. Live music on occasion makes for a wonderful ambiance and adds to the upscale sophistication. I have been there with large and small groups, with an occasional miss from the service end, but I'm willing to give them a pass as they continue learning new systems. If you pay by credit card and enter your email for the receipt, you will accumulate points that can be turned in for credit on future purchases. Its a great...
Read moreHonestly, the food was good, but the service fell short. My partner and I had high hopes for this place after receiving a gift card from someone else, who had a good experience. No one greeted us upon arrival or seated us for some time. Our server only gave us the food menu, and appeared annoyed when we asked for a drink menu, which she said was not available. However, stated that they had beer, wine, and soda. It was upsetting to hear another table receive a good server who explained the whole experience and description of the place vs one who seemed a burden to help us. After checking our IDs and seeing we were locals, we were assigned a new server. However, the original server didn't share our drink order, thus causing confusion and a longer wait time. The new server was terrific and knowledgeable on the menu. As new guests to this restaurant, we almost walked out and felt judged by our age. But the new server was great and the food and...
