Went here with 4 adults and my 8 month old baby. It was not busy, only maybe 3 other tables and some people at the bar. The waitress took our order and at least 40 minutes later we just checked to see how much longer it would be, got brushed off and told “you’re next up” Well come to find out she forgot to put our order in the computer so then had to retake our order and said “just another 20 minutes” finally 35 minutes later our food came. My baby was missing nap time so she was upset. Food was mediocre at best. My father in law and I were going to share a 4 meat bbq plate (what a joke that is!) apparently the meat quantity goes down with the more you order. $40 for hardly any meat and still just the two sides you get with any of the bbq plates. And I guess the only way you get checked on as a table is if you order alcohol. We got one drink refill in the 2 hours we were there and that’s only because we asked. Very disappointed to say the least. I don’t like to judge off of one bad experience, but I think it would be foolish to even think about going back after that disaster. And I would highly encourage families (with children especially) to consider going elsewhere. I know my poor little one was not super happy to be stuck...
Read moreAs everyone who's seen my other reviews knows by now, I'm an adult with autism, and I'm a -very- picky eater. Thus, I ordered my usual for a burger joint - a cheeseburger (cheese and ketchup only) and fries.
Let's start with the meat:
Normally I order my burgers medium-well, but I decided to try medium this time instead. The patty was just pink enough, cooked to perfection (and steaming hot). Juicy, and so, so much flavor.
The bun next:
It was juuuuust grilled enough to have a golden-brown inside (for both top and bottom buns), and the bun tasted just a tiny bit sweet, too. Excellent.
The ketchup:
It tasted delicious, and was a perfect blend of sweet and savory.
The cheese:
It was melted into a formless golden goo that just made the whole thing go above and beyond every other burger I've had.
The fries:
Crispy, extra salty, and the "shell" kinda melts in your mouth, too.
The final verdict:
This is the greatest burger I've ever eaten. Like, it's not even close. I'm willing to declare that The Pour House is the best burger joint in Arizona.
And for parents with picky children, the kids menu has a wide selection too.
If I could rate this higher than five...
Read moreOk, come to this place with an open mind since it is different. This place is well intended and if you are a happy positive person, you can have a nice time here. You will see that they have darts game, a digital juke box, good music, a full bar with great drinks and tasty food. Your order will take some time because they cook it to order and is fresh and tasty. If you have any complaints about the meat they will immediately address it. Barbecue is not easy but they know what they are doing! Service rocks, which is so important, as it makes the experience so much better. I will come back because portions are decent and flavor is good. Compared with other places they are not charging much for their meat, which is top quality. They don’t use cheap products here. The place was small but clean and fun. We played darts while waiting for our food.
Hands down, best item on the menu is pulled pork with the pork ribs coming in a close 2nd.Keep up...
