I rate and try Pad Thai across the entire Pacific Northwest, and I can say that this is a very solid choice for an authentic Pad Thai. The portion size was a little lacking compared to other places, but was worth it for the flavor and low price of $12.

Consistency is near perfect for what I would like in a pad thai, but I do feel it goes a little too much towards the limey flavor. If there was more of a savory flavor than a limey flavor to compliement, it would be near perfect (a little too sweet on the sauce as well). The sauce is quite thin and coats the noodles nicely. The presentation and flavor is pretty good though, I would say 8/10 for my scale. Everything is great except flavor is a bit lacking when trying for perfection.

Service was exactly what I would want at a Thai Restaurant. Not too in your face, but my server was paying good attention to my table and when I needed more water and such. 10/10 for service in my eyes. You're not going to get a fancy restaurant dining service experience here, but you'll get exactly what would compliment the atmosphere.

This gets 5 stars for Portland standards. If this was Seattle or Vancouver...

That was awesome… For the second time.

The last time I was here it's about 10 months ago and they didn't even have a place on Google yet. I really like this restaurant. You can tell that it's very authentic… As a matter of fact I overheard the waitress telling another table that she's from Bangkok. You can tell that it's a family run business.

The food is fantastic. Both times it's been good. This time I got pad Thai and salad rolls. They were fantastic. The salad rolls came with the delicious swirly peanut sauce that you could drizzle inside of the rice wrap it was amazing. The pad Thai was perfectly cooked and came out looking beautiful. I came alone as I often do, and escape from my kids and husband or a daycation as I call it :-) and they catered to me quickly.

The restaurant feels very homey and is well decorated. The dining room is small but very cute. I will be back. Maybe next time I will...

I should have known this place wasn’t going to meet my expectations because it was completely empty when my husband and I walked in during a typical Friday night dinner. The tables all had glass on top of them, our had a few dead bugs between the glass and the table so cleanliness was obviously an issue right off the bat. I ordered lemon grass chicken, my Thai favorite, with veggies. The sautéed chicken had no seasoning so I was hoping the peanut sauce would save it but to my surprise it was completely floury and bland. I took two bites and had the server take it away. I then had to ask him to take it off my bill, the fact that I wasn’t offered anything else or any concern for not liking my dish was unsettling. We will not be...

Every time I have been here, I feel abandoned in the lobby. I just have never felt welcome or taken care of. I don't know why. For this experience, it was a Monday late lunch in early March. It was cold inside till about 1pm, when we felt the heat kick on. If the air temp was warm, the feel inside is still cold. Hard chairs, walls, colors, etc. Service was...humble, let's say. Just kind, methodical, laissez-faire, and maybe that's the issue with the Lobby? All that aside... Best Thai food I've had in a long time. This place outperforms. This time, I had the Red Curry. Outstanding.

They have gluten free options-yaaay! The dish I had was tasty...tho I don't remember the name. Personally I'd prefer a cocktail but they only have wine (maybe beer also). I'll return to try another dish tho! Update! I returned a few weeks later with a friend. The food was great as on my first visit. However the service bordered on horrendous. The waiter seemed bothered by our presence. We noticed there was a huge amount of take-out activity and if i ever return to Malees it will be for take-out. Lesson learned.
