Absolutely the best place for authentic Mexican cuisine in Lake Placid. The staff and owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is wonderful , there is a mural on one of the walls and it is stunning. The restaurant has a clean rustic atmosphere that is instantly welcoming the minute one walks through the door. The menu is diverse and not complex and the offerings are all top quality. Their sauces are flavorful and bright , the food is likewise flavorful and bright. The Carne Asada was wonderful , I also had a variety of tacos that were all superb and far above any others locally that I have had. This is definitely an unknown gem in Lake Placid. We have eaten there 3 times now and the food has been delicious, the service has been great and the dining room is clean and neat. I have had the Asada Tacos twice and the Asada Bowl this last visit . My husband has the Asada Burrito every time. He says it is so delicious. Chips are freshly fried . We tried Normas for the first time a couple weeks ago and went back again yesterday. We thought the food was great both times. I was especially enthusiastic about the dish I ordered yesterday as it was a combination I’d never seen before at any of the many other Mexican restaurants I’ve visited over the last 60 years.
