I had the pleasure of spending a Friday afternoon at Angelo's Stuffed Pizza. I have been here before, about two years ago. When they first introduced their birria heart shaped pizza. The pizza was amazing, but I only had the opportunity of eating one slice from how full I was. This time around, I wanted to try more things. To start, my friend and I tried the teriyaki and buffalo wings. I really enjoyed their buffalo sauce; it is house-made and tastes more on the spicier and buttery side as opposed to the vinegary and salty taste of other buffalo sauces. I wasn't much of a fan of their teriyaki wings. Sort of reminded me of soy garlic but sweeter. Both of these wings paired well with the other of fries we got. I think they were beer-battered fries, fried perfectly. For our next course, we got the chicken carbonara. I was blown away with how good this pasta was. I typically shy away from carbonara because most of the time it is bland, but this pasta was well seasoned. From the sauce to the juicy, flavorful chicken. I was impressed, better than most of the Italian spots downtown. To end our dinner, we had the opportunity to try the pizza of the month: chicken alfredo with fresh basil. I didn't realize they were growing basil in the front of the restaurant so when the chef came out to pick some to put on our pizza, I knew I was in for a treat. The pizza was amazing, cooked to the perfect temp, not drying out the chicken or the basil. You could tell they perfected this recipe before putting it on the menu. The chicken was the same chicken used in the carbonara so the seasonings really complemented the alfredo base. Our second pizza was a 6 inch personal deep dish. I really wanted to try their deep dish again to remind myself how good their marinara sauce is. It is sweet yet savory. Quite the contrast to other deep dish marinara sauce in the city. I enjoyed it! And for only $10 during their lunch hours, I was impressed. Other spots in the city charge almost $15 for a personal pan. Overall, I enjoyed Angelo's a lot! I spoke with the owner after our meal and he was a very nice guy! You could tell he has a lot of passion for food and pizza, and it shows. I would recommend Angelo's to anyone in the Southwest area of Chicago. I promise it is worth the trip!

Me and my boyfriend always passed this place so we decided to give it a try and the stuff pizza was actually good. We got some wings ( mango habanero and sweet teriyaki) 8 pieces. I didn’t like the sweet teriyaki sauce cause I can taste the soy sauce a lot . The wings themselves were okay, not a lot of meat but it had some unlike other places. We got a appetizer mix it was good but for the price I thought it was a lot for so little. I gave this place a 3 because the prices on the menu were totally different from what I got charged. The pizza was suppose to be $15 and got charged $25. The appetizer was $7.30got charged $14.50. The wings were $9.88 got charged $ 13.99. I talked to the the boss which I’m pretty sure was Angelo the owner about it and he told me they are doing changes cause of the increase of minimum wage, That they are updating things still . Which I told him I understand but they can at least tell their customers in the beginning about it instead of them finding out when paying. I asked if I can get charged with the price in the menu and he told me no. My bill was gonna be around $40 but instead came out $61. I think it’s crazy how much the food went up from this minimum wage increase.

I recently bought a pizza and a couple other stuff for delivery. They said it’d be an hour or so. An hour and 30 minutes pass by so I just called to ask if the pizza was near. Right away after asking about how much longer will the pizza be the guy responded so rudely. I wasn’t even mad when I called I was just asking. The guy then proceeded to make up a story about how his driver did him a favor and she’s not even suppose to be working right now. Then he said she called and we didn’t answer when we never received a call. After waiting about another hour I called back and he begins yelling at me how he was the calling me and leaving voicemails when I still hadn’t received any call. We waited about 30 min outside because he said that the girl was going back. After all the headache the girl comes up like nothing. She was super sweet. And we told her what was happening. She told us that he hasn’t even called her. She told us she had to call him. And to make matters worse she showed us the number she tried calling and it wasn’t even the right number. So he was getting mad at us when he didn’t even have the right information. The pizza was cold after being about 2-3hrs. The driver said she was on her regular schedule shift. She was honest and really nice. He didn’t even call back to apologize. The guy said he was the manger. If there was a misunderstanding he could have just said. We would have understood. Things happen but the way he went about it...

I heard a lot of positive things about this business, so I decided to give it a try. I was unable to dine in, so I chose to order and pick it up myself rather than have it delivered. My goal in picking up the pizza was for it to be warm/hot once I got it since I live 8 minutes away. I didn’t mind picking it up. Unfortunately, it wasn't the case. I ordered the pizza at 9:47 p.m. and opted in to get order updates, which stated that I would receive another SMS when it was ready for pickup. I received a text at 10:33pm stating that it was ready for pickup. As I drive to pick it up, I receive a phone call informing me that my pizza has been ready. I responded, "I just received the text that it came out at 10:33 and I'm on my way." It took me 8 minutes to get there, and it appeared they were ready to close. As I arrived, I noticed a pizza on the top front counter by the cashier. I asked if my pizza had been sitting out in the front counter for long and they told me it just came out. Once I opened the box it was cold as if it was sitting out at the front counter for more than 30 minutes. Other places have it in the oven while customers pick up the pizza not in the front counter getting cold. I took the time to pick it up myself to avoid my pizza being cold and I still got a cold pizza. As a new customer, I am very disappointed I didn’t like the pizza...
