Birrieria Jalisco — Restaurant in Lake Township

I recently heard about Birria tacos online and have been dying to try them. I wasted my time with other places that made "birria" (I won't name names but don't go to Waukegan) and failed... but this place....DAMN! 🤩🤩Its good! The tacos are soo juicy and flavorful! Not dry and salt-less like everywhere else.They got steak, lamb and goat! Not Just regular beef & chicken. And the consome is delicious too. 🤤🤤🤤 You don't even have to order ahead because they make it for you fresh and quick! I drove 1 & 1/2 hours just to come to this place. This place gets 2 thumbs up for sure. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

I don't understand everything else on the menu so I haven't tried the other foods but.if I did, I'm sure I won't be...

I came in the restaurant we sat down, and the waiters had us waiting for 10 minutes. There were no customers in here yet they still took long to attend us. I asked for a agua de jamaica, when I got my drink I took a sip and it had tasted like it had been sitting out for weeks. I call for a waiter I ask for a different drink and they took more than 8 minutes with no customers. I ordered a torta and the bread was very soggy. In the menu they said it came with beans, sour cream, lettuce, onion, and tomato, but I only got lettuce and tomato on one side...

This place was terrible. It made me feel awful because we were waiting for a table an this man that was alone eating one taco, was told to leave because we were waiting...like they should have waited for him to finish. Their "consome " if you can call it that tastes awful like dirty dish water. We tried it but didn't eat it. The tacos were super greasy an the lengua looked disgusting like a dogs tounge.the only good thing was the fresh orange juice. The waitress didn't remove the uneated consome or...
