Naples Pizza — Restaurant in Lake Township

Been coming to this place for over 21 years. Unfortunately a few years ago they changed owners and you could tell with the food in that it definitely tastes different. The service is really good there but the food took a bit of a fall off from what I was used to there. It's still good food. Was hoping to dine in like i used to but couldn't due to them closing that part off with their inventory filling up the spaces. Had to eat in my car on a hot day but I was in the shade so it wasn't that bad lol. They are pretty quick with getting your order out and are pretty friendly. I go mainly for the nostalgia, 1 liter Dr. Pepper's and cheese fries even though the fries have changed. Still a good place if you're looking for something quick, on the go and good food. Parking is iffy depending on the day and is located close to public transportation if you wanna get something before catching the bus. Miss the old owners but the new one's are doing a decent job since taking over. Don't know if they'll allow dining in now that Chicago is opening back up but only time will tell. It is my first time ordering food as a walk-in from this restaurant and I have to say that the lady at the front desk was very rude and lack of costumer service skills. I ordered a Italian beef with deep on the side and the cook accidentally forgot to give it to me (which I totally understand because these things happen) so I called and the lady told me if I could pick it up and I said no, because you guys forgot it so can you drop it off. Instead of offering a solution she rudely answered "it wasn't a delivery it was a pick up so how do you want us to drop it off?" So I said, well becuase you forgot it and I am at my house already I am not going back to the restaurant. So she said "I am going to talk to the owner and watch how you talk" so I told her "you watch how you talk this is costumer service". At the end they agreed to deliver it but I think it was way too much trouble for a forgotten sauce so I would rather go to a different place next time. There was no need for the lady to be rude. Don’t get me wrong the food is good, but the service itself isn’t great. They have a bad habit of messing up orders too often and mix orders up with others. It’s frustrating, because it’s happened way too often at this location… It takes long for them to even deliver most of the time to the point where we have to call them again to remind them. A person can tell them repeatedly what they ordered and they still somehow mess it up. The people are nice but I really think that they need to find a way to get better when it comes down to the orders and deliveries.
