I called in to place an order at 10:15 pm, the woman answered "hold please." I waited for at least 4 minutes on hold. She took my order and told me "itll be ready in 25 minutes" and then hung up. I didnt even get my total amount! I arrived at 10:40. The place looked fairly clean, there was no one inside. I walked up to the counter and one woman yelled to the back " Tay can u take her order!" No greeting or anything! 'Tay' walks up to the other register and looks at me. And the conversation went as follows:
I said "Hello, i placed an order over the phone."
Tay: "phone number"
Me: 773-xxx-xxxx
Tay: "$24.xx"
(Transaction completes)
Tay goes and bags my food. Hands it to me.
Me: Thank you and have a good night
I proceed to walk out and check my bag. There seemed to be no cakes. I ordered a half dark dinner, 5 tenders and a slice of chocolate cake and a slice of red velvet. I step back to the counter.
Me: "are my cakes in here?"
Other girl: "no."
Tay: "no"
At this point I'm baffled that they both confidently said "no" like it was ok.
Me: "Ok, well i need them."
Tay: "Obviously, you sure do."
Now im getting upset because there is no way that she can be this disrespectful when she made a mistake!
Me: ok well i was on my way out the door so when were you going to give them to me.
Tay: i really dont know what was in your bag, i didnt even really look at the ticket.
Me: can i just have my cakes please.
She put them in the bag and i left.
This was my first and LAST time eating here. customer service is just that, SERVICE. I could have cooked my own food at home and avoided disrespectful and rude people. However i wanted to be SERVED. These women need other occupations if they cannot handle their job duties.
I was on hold forever. I was never greeted upon arriving. She was very blunt and rude. She did not give me my complete order. When I asked She made it seem as if it were my fault that I forgot my own cakes. Then proceeded to tell me she didnt know what was in the bag, she didn't look at the ticket, although she bagged my food! (Excuses)
'Tay' didn't do her job at all. If you want to keep Chicken coop open, get rid of her and never employ people like her again. She is Just ungrateful and rude.

I called at 10:15 no one picked up... 🤔Then a few other people walked in after, and the cashier asked the cook to lock the door... But it’s only 10:45pm y’all don’t close until 12:00am why are you locking the door. The phone was ringing still no one picked up, just to say they stop taking calls at a certain time?!? To me that’s seem very unprofessional and rude.... And it’s bad for a Black Owned business to be ran like this! If Sunday’s are that bad, maybe they should close at 10:00pm. But I assume they are open later because, everything is closed. Which means more money for them, but the employees are not following the rules. If you close at 12:00 I can see you taking your last phone order at 11 or locking the door at 11:45 but not 10:45 because you are ready to go home. I will not be back just because of this. Out of the 8 times I've received food from Chicken Coop my order has been correct 15% of the time!!!!!
There used to be a wait on food, because it was REALLY COOKED FRESH. However now they're able to get orders out fast because they RE-FRY the protein.
Request my fries FRIED HARD every time, ALWAYS GET SOFT, HALF COOKED POTATOES.
Two stars because order takers dont give attitude. (Though I had to literally, no exaggeration, repeat my order at least 5x one evening)
