I ordered a cake thru city sweets a month ago for my nephew 1st birthday party I ordered it a month in advance I showed them pictures I sent pictures everything was great until they called me 2 times bc they were confused on my order I ended up taking with Dave after he called me he wrote down notes and everything told me he couldn’t do my details bc my cake wasn’t big enough then he said if you go to a 2 tier cake I can do everything you’re asking for but it’s a 10$ extra charge and I had no problem paying for that everything was fine then the day of the party came my friend went to pick up the cake and it DEVASTATING when she sent me the picture of the cake it looked so sloppy like it was done that morning in a rush it was checkered on the bottom with a yellow smile face in the middle and black starts going around it the colors were right but there was supposed to be 3 rows of checkers and got barely 2 the smiley face FELL OFF BEFORE I GOT IT INSIDE 20 minutes AFTER PICKING IT UP there was sloppy black squares when there was supposed to be black stars I called and asked what happened the lady was so rude for no reason said she can’t do anything I asked to see if they could fix my smiley face bc that was the main decoration for his party she said no you get what you get then she was very rude to my friend who picked up my order she said the picture was blurry and there were NO NOTES TAKEN WHEN 2 DIFFERENT PEOPLE CALLED ME AND TOOK NOTES a almost 150$ order was wasted this was my sister first child she will never get this experience again the owner or a manager has yet to call me about it when I have left my name a number multiple times it’s really sad bc they did an outstanding job for her gender reveal party cupcakes 1 year later and that’s what that place has become..but if they didn’t understand it or the picture was blurry or anything like that being a business why didn’t they call to make sure I mean they bugged me 2 times about it all ready and still got it wrong after takes notes from 2 different people I would have them said I don’t think we can pull that off and I would have found...

Ordered my sons Birthday Party cupcakes and single cake a couple weeks ago and picked them up today. When I ordered the cupcakes and cake I gave them a printed color copy of what I was expecting and everything seemed fine. Last year I ordered our birthday cake from them and it was a dinosaur egg which turned out exactly to the colored copy I gave them. I was very pleased with how it looked and tasted so of course I was going to order from them again. They even offered to help me take my cake to the car which I appreciated. However, this year I pick them up and his single cake is nothing like the picture I gave them which was very disappointing. It looks like it was put together last second but what was I to do? I feel like I could have done a better job on the single cake myself. The party was in a few hours and it couldn’t be fixed to be like the picture so I left because I had more things I had to do before the party. Just very disappointing to even give them a copy of what I expected to get and not receive that. They also never offered to help me with taking the cake to the car too. The cake tasted fine though but I’m not sure if I’ll continue with them next...

I placed an order a couple months in advance for a very basic, small wedding cake that was supposed to look like milk glass, nothing extravagant. I texted photos of examples the day I placed the order but had to again the day before because whoever took the order did not have any of that previous info nor did they know what I was talking about. I sent very clear and easy photos. What I got was very subpar. The knobs or dots were all over the place and different sizes. You could also see the cake layers. I mean, if you look up what milk glass looks like, it’s pretty easy. (I attached a photo) We ended up having to dress up the cake to make it not look so weird. I also ordered cupcakes which were totally fine. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re wanting a wedding cake. Stick to cookies and cupcakes.
