My experience with Bellefontaines own Don's Downtown Diner -
When I first arrived, I was underwhelmed with the small parking lot it had, but I was happy to see there were still places to park offside on the street.
Seeing the seating arrangement, both outside and in, was very nice to see and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of an old-fashioned styled diner.
The menu - so many good options to have from burgers to sandwich and even gyros, there is something on here for everyone, including salads and sides. The kids' menu was very straightforward and easy to read for the youngin's.
The food - by far the best food I had in a small diner in the state of Ohio. I ordered The Philly and it was so good. So good, I want to go back and get another one just for later. The sweet tea I had with my food was also very good. My wife got the cheeseburger and a lemonade, and let me tell you, that lemonade was better than any street festival or fair/festival I've ever been to. The waitress was kind enough to get her one to go because she loved it too much. Also the food is very much affordable.
The staff - very open and very friendly. They are very kindhearted and always make sure your needs are always met. I was very happy with the staff, it almost felt like the staff knew us for a lifetime.
I will definitely be going back to Don's Downtown Diner in the near futures.
So my pros and cons are - Pros - everything is perfect Cons - literally just the parking, but that can't be helped with the location they are in.

Read moreThis review is based on two different visits. My wife and I love this place. Small town diner experience with specific niches that some will love and some will like, but either way you will be coming back. Service is excellent once you get a seat. The place is busy as the food and service is great! There is not much room for guests waiting because the entire place is filled with seating. Canât wait? Go through the drive thru or place a pickup order to go. Parking is limited which may cause you to walk to on street parking but thatâs ok because youâll overeat and need to walk it off. đ First visit we tried the patty melt, three alarm burger, a side of fries and loaded fries. To top it off, we had a peanut butter milkshake. Entrees were great and the peanut butter milkshake is really good! The second visit we tried the Gyro, the Rueben, the ribs, peanut butter milkshake, and strawberry milkshake. Having experienced the East Coast a couple times a year, we will always order a burger with fries and a milkshake. The ribs were wet and moist, I do recommend which can be purchased on Saturdays. Overall great place and limited hours so plan this trip out. No midnight...
Read moreThis is a very small place so donât bring many friends. Thereâs conveniently have a drive-thru at least. Let me tell you about the burger that I had. It was the bacon and blue burger, which is now my number one favorite even though I havenât tried many of the other burgers, but Iâll definitely put it on top first. This burger was so good that it made me want to slap my mama (RIP Mom). My boyfriend had the pizza burger and he said it was absolutely delicious. All I can say is this place is like a real diner with real food and no fillers and preservatives. Everything was fresh crisp and absolutely incredible. It makes you want to close your eyes and pray. Thank you thank you for your service and bringing a smile to our faces. This was our first time going there and Iâm hoping it wonât be our last....
