Starbucks — Restaurant in Lake Township

They have the worst customer service at this location. It is a disservice to the Starbucks brand the way management has ill equipped the staff on how to greet and serve their customers. I just stood at the counter for close to two minutes and no one greeted me or stated that they’d be with me shortly. I am a very patient, reasonable and considerate person and could understand if it was a busy time for them. It was 5 am and I was the only dine in customer. There was one barista at the drive thru and one making a drink. Neither one acknowledged me or as much as looked my way. Needless to say because they literally didn’t see me as a customer, I turned and walked out. Throughout the years I have occasionally patronized this location and today I am reminded of why my visits are so infrequent. Unfortunately, this is about my third experience having walked out of this establishment for the lack of acknowledgement and service. I will never return. Every Starbucks is supposed to be the same, same pastries, same food, and same drinks. What differentiates a Starbucks from the other is the level of service. This particular Starbucks it’s only five minutes away from my house and also I have a target location that’s also five minutes away; yet the Target location is better. The “team” at the 47th and Cicero location never seem to have a sense of urgency that the customers have. I placed a mobile order and the prep time was set at 5-7mins (by the time i get there it should be ready). I get to the pick up counter and it’s not ready. A young lady was trying to place an order but the barista at the register was busy talking on his personal phone. Someone who was on break had to come out because he could just not hang up. The young lady placed her order and then the barista asked me what I wanted to order and I told her I had a mobile order she looked around and there was nothing. coffee or whatever you order, takes kind of long to make apparently. i wait too long for my order every time i come to a different starbucks, including this one. i only come here because my girlfriend enjoys it, so i have no choice. you ask for sugar and they never add enough... the menu is expensive and i wouldn't pitch it to anyone except hardcore coffee lovers, maybe. i do agree that the coffee is a very strong blend so it's real coffee and that a lot of their other stuff taste more on the natural side, but anything that's not plain coffee is overpriced. their tea is pretty good, but price is key and tea is way to overpriced as well. i get that starbucks is a chain, but average people that like to sip and go, will not go the extra mile to get a coffee from star bucks. it's not the hype but a lot of people like it. 2 stars because they didn't mess up my order and the coffee was decent but service and price and...
