La Cebollita is the perfect spot to start your day, and my experience there was absolutely amazing. I ordered two al pastor sopes, and they were a total game-changer.
The sopes arrived golden and crispy, with the edges perfectly crunchy while the center held all the vibrant flavors. The corn base was soft but sturdy, providing the ideal foundation for everything that followed. Topped with a layer of creamy beans and melted cheese, each bite started with a rich, comforting base that made the sopes feel so satisfying.
The al pastor was the true star. The meat was tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. Each bite released a savory, slightly smoky flavor, with the seasoning coming through beautifully. Hidden in the background of each bite was a subtle sweetness from the pineapple, which added a perfect balance to the richness of the pork.
The sopes were topped with crisp lettuce and fresh tomato, bringing a refreshing contrast to the warm, savory ingredients. A generous drizzle of homemade salsa added a bit of heat, complementing the flavors without overpowering them. The combination of creamy beans, melty cheese, fresh veggies, and the rich al pastor was a symphony of textures and flavors that made each bite a joy.
This meal was a great way to start my morning, leaving me completely satisfied. La Cebollita's al pastor sopes are an absolute must-try, and I’ll definitely be...
Read moreCute place. Reasonable prices. I had nachos with chicken. I think it was $8. Lots of fresh, crispy chips. The chicken was great and plentiful. Good refried beans, which I then ordered a side of because they were light on the nachos. Cheese sauce, not real cheese, but there's nothing wrong with cheese sauce. Lettuce, tomato, and avocado on top--all of which were very, very fresh. It could have been 5 stars if they had heated the non-produce parts of the heap. Instead, it tasted like it was just assembled and sent out, most things room temp-ish. Good place that I'd love to eat at...
Read moreI went to this restaurant yesterday, I had a sope de asada it was delicious. I also had asked for an orchata. This one was really nasty it tasted sour. I would have preferred to get told they didn't have any than give me old orchata. I did however asked the waitress if she could exchange the orchata for a coke. Which she had no issues doing it and made sure to tell me I wasn't going to get charged for it. As tasty as the sope was it did make me wonder how fresh the rest of...
