Stunod's Pizzeria & Buddy's Italian Ice — Restaurant in Lake Township

If I could give Stunod's Pizzeria 10 stars, I would! I catered from them for a company lunch of about 80 people, and to say it was a success would be an understatement. Everyone absolutely raved about the pizza, salad, mozzarella sticks, and more.

I had the pleasure of working with Frank, the owner, to put together a menu that fit our large group and gave my office an authentic "taste of Chicago." Frank went above and beyond—he was so easy (and fun!) to work with. What I appreciated most was how thoughtful he was in making sure we had plenty of food for everyone while staying within our budget. Also, he made sure that all dietary restrictions were hit. He made a special gluten free pizza for our team- how awesome?! He even treated us to their incredible “Sfingis,” traditional Sicilian deep-fried pastries that were truly mouthwatering!

On the day of the event, Frank personally came to deliver, helped with setup, and made sure everything went smoothly. His kindness and hospitality reminded me of the Southern warmth I grew up with back home.

I can’t say enough great things about Frank and his team. If you have the chance to order from Stunod's Pizzeria—do it! You won’t be disappointed.

Why can't I leave 8 stars? You only let me give 5?

What can I say that hasn't been said in the many reviews that have been left about this fantastic neighborhood establishment. It is hard to believe that it has only been around for just 2 years.

In that time, Frank and Austin have put together a place with local pride, casual eclectic charm, and a pleasant atmosphere. Where else can you relax and enjoy a great meal, while listening to some favorite tunes.

As for their pizza, it got me at their sauce. It was not too sweet or too bland, with the just the right amount of spices. The sausage stood alone. The Chicago size chunks had lots of flavor without being too spicy or greasy. The vegetables were cut large, keeping them from drying out. When my wife and kids don't have to add anything like parmesan cheese, oregano etc. to the pie, you know it's good!!!

While savoring every bite of their wonderful pizza, I noticed how many people were neighborhood regulars. Their seemed to be first name conversation like Norm from Cheers with every other person picking up their tantalizing dinners. You might come in a stranger but you definitely leave a friend. Thank you for the many events with which you have helped us. We are grateful for the in house dining but also for catering.

You have helped us with activities such as the Beverly Art Walk and most recently three functions celebrating my mother's 90th birthday party.

We are thankful that you could make the tiramisu and lemon Italian ice for mom and all of the 70 residents and staff at her facility for her actual 90th birthday.

Thank you for making a variety of pizzas and salads for a house party the Thursday before the second major 90th birthday celebration! We needed all the energy we could get to prepare for the party that Saturday (and feeling like we were back in Italy eating the perfect pizza helped us get through it!) The leftovers were very much needed so that for being certain we ordered extra for this critical time :)
