(update below) I have not been to this restaurant yet. After reading the description it sounds like a decent place and I was happy to see a new source for tamales opening near my home. I periodically buy a few dozen tamales for parties and usually do take-out about once a week from area restaurants, but the fact that they only take cash means I'll be taking most of my business elsewhere. Obviously, the fact that I don't like to carry cash is not this restaurant's problem, but in this day and age of convenience - this is a definite inconvenience. I plan on stopping in one day, on that rare occasion that I happen to have cash on me, to give the food a try and I'll update the review. 2018-10: Was passing by and remembered that I had cash on me. I stopped in and this place is really bare bones. It was kind of dark inside and there were no menu boards letting you know what kinds of tamales they sell nor listing anything at all of what they sell. When I asked what kinds, they told me "Everything"... But that means nothing to me when I don't know what this particular restaurant makes so I asked them to tell me. They gave me the run down and I chose a couple different fillings. They were a little smaller than what I'm used to seeing but overall they were not bad. Although I was glad I tried them I don't feel any urge to take the time to go out of my way to get cash for...

Try some tamales early morning on a Sunday: Quitate la cruda. Best comfort food $2 can buy! They also offer menudo on weekends, but it runs out fast! So get there early. Rosa's Tamales doesnt get a perfect score because of the huge inconvenience of being a chash only establishment (There is a Bank of America ATM right across...
Read moreCASH ONLY. Only 4 stars because it's cash only. Place is very warm, mostly because they have the steaming pots right behind the counter and it's fairly small inside. Great tamales, for sure! Moist and tender, great ratio between masa and filling for the savory ones. Sweet ones are not over the top in regards to sweetness and artificial flavors. If you have a sweet tooth, you may be disappointed. Hot drinks are also very delicious here. Champurrado, atole de nuez, and atole de guayaba are the ones I remember off the top of my head. Guayaba is probably the sweetest of the 3. Still good though. Great place overall for tamales. I have never ordered anything else from here other than tamales and...
