Whit's Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Lake Township

We arrived to a room full of groups of folks having ordered and waiting on their custard. Once we got to the counter we were "greeted" by someone that just stared at us. No hi, hello, can I help you? or even what do you want? after an awkward silence we began to order. Once our order was in, we waited a very long time while watching them give out orders completely randomly (and often wrongly). A group of people there before us had 2 people finished with custard while the 3rd still waited on theirs. Not a single group of people had their order come out together. They got our order wrong, along with others in the room, but after waiting so long people just left. When we finally walked out, there was still one couple still waiting. One had their custard and the other was staring at 2 orders on the counter to pick from, neither of which were correct, while they continued to make a third. Just completely awful...

My favorite location! Clean and always helpful and patient staff. They are always stocked with different ice cream sandwich flavors that are consistently make alike. Other locations I’ve been to… the staff isn’t as helpful and patient (like I get your working but still) or maybe their ice cream sandwiches are made sloppy or the cookies are too under baked (I like a soft cookie but when it taste like dough😅). Also other locations could do better about having multiple flavors stocked. This location just seems to be well managed and run ✅ also, this shop taste better, not sure if the balance of ingredients is different or what. My husband and I stop any chance we get when visiting near by or driving through ... actually we will make a trip just to come to this one haha Owners are lovely too, met them once!

My only con is the hours, wished they stayed...

Super yummy as always! Love that they have weekly and daily flavors. Really love the rewards program too!

Today - July 10th, we went in after dropping kids off at camp. I accidentally ordered the wrong item, a brownie sundae with other stuff. When it came out I realized that my gluten-free self wouldn't be able to eat said mis-ordered sundae.i asked for a cup to put part of my custard into and then promptly worked on getting out the brownies.

Gabe took notice and graciously made me the item I had truly wanted.

I have always LOVED Whit's - at any location, but this situation that I created was kindly fixed for me. The sundae - 2nd - was fantastic!
