Stopped by Co 5 on a whim and left already planning my next visit. It’s brand new but feels like it’s been part of the neighborhood forever. The space is warm and inviting, it's simple and not overdone. You can smell the sweet aroma of authentic Vietnamese cooking the second you walk in.
I had the Bun Rieu and it’s the kind of bowl you slow down for. The broth is deep and comforting without being heavy, the crab meat tender, and the herbs fresh like they were just picked. My fiance got the braised catfish in clay pot (Ca Kho To) with rice and we ended up trading bites back and forth because neither of us could stop talking about it.
Beverages were refreshing as well; I got the salted coffee and my partner got the Matcha Latte (ask for more sugar if you like it sweet!).
The staff are all friendly and caring, checking in just enough, and you can tell there’s pride in what they’re serving. It’s not trying to be flashy... just honest, really good Vietnamese food done with care. Co 5 might be new, but if they keep cooking like this, it’s going to be one of those spots you measure other...

Read moreI like the new concept here in uptown! Food definitely felt like a warm comfort home cooked meal. There were items a la carte that you wouldn’t find anywhere else so it was a unique experience. I was there during their opening week and workers were very nice and can tell they were trying their best to accommodate the crowd.
