A lovely modern Vietnamese coffeeshop! I loved the modern take on Vietnamese coffee!
The "traditional" Iced Vietnamese Phin Drip Cold Brew is lovely. I personally would have liked a stronger coffee flavour that reminds me of what one gets in Vietnam. But this is awfully close. I only wish they also did the traditional drip to-order over ice and condensed milk....though given how long that would take, and the fact that this place is very much all about burn-and-turn service (as evident by the lack of tables and seating beyond a few that line the window) - I'm not surprised they make their traditional Vietnamese coffee drinks in large batches.
The lack of seating is also off-putting if you're looking to sit and sip and enjoy your Vietnamese coffee. I think that's the one thing I'm disappointed about. I very much appreciated in Vietnam that the coffee was a slow and patient ordeal. Something to be savoured rather than drank quickly on-the-go.
So if you're looking for a counter service grab-&-go, this is a great place.
The ube donut was decent but nothing to wow one's tastebuds. If you've nver had ube, this is a safe and sweet way to enjoy it and is a good way to enjoy its flavour for the first time.

Read moreStopped by their physical location a few days ago. It's really polished in there, with a nice vibe to it. Most importantly though, the coffee itself is fantastic. I'm not some coffee connoisseur. I just like a variety of different coffee types. I tried their specialty, the Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. I did add in a bit of vanilla, as that was what I was feeling that morning, but they have a few other flavors as well, if you want to go that route. If you like coffee, you'll like this. The coffee flavor comes through well and is definitely in the top ranks of coffee that I've tasted. It's well balanced too. Not too sweet, even with the bit of vanilla that I had added in. Since I arrived close to the doors opening, I had a moment to chat with the owner before it got busy (and people did start really coming in by the time I'd finished enjoying my coffee). It's easy to tell that the owner takes pride in the business and in the coffee that is being made there. That counts for a lot. TLDR - Highly recommend. The coffee is great. Try the specialty, but they have espresso and lattes and other stuff too, if that's what...
Read moreI ordered the Salted Viet Coffee and the Egg coffee Just as a heads up, I am Vietnamese and grew up drinking viet coffee at home and at many restaurants/cafes. I had high hopes for this new place but was extremely disappointed after taking the first sip. The coffee itself tastes like American Espresso machine coffee. (The salted viet coffee put simply tasted like an americano with slightly sweet foam with salt sprinkled on top.) Traditionally viet egg coffee is made with egg foam on top of drip viet coffee. But they used the same plain, slightly sweetened foam as the other drink, with a little sprinkle of what I assume is the egg element. Not to mention the prices are pretty up there especially for their size. Viet Egg Coffee: $8.50 (pre tax, pre tip) Salted Viet Coffee: $8 (pre tax, pre tip) ^price of the newer drinks but the regular menu prices are up there as well.
Unfortunately I would just stick to $3-$5 coffee from any other restaurant in Argyle since you’re...
