I love Ali he is a great business man that makes me to started going to the place every weekend with friends for a year now however I had a very terrible experience with this old man who wasn’t friendly at all. I went there around 11pm obviously the kitchen was close but I was so hungry I told him if I can get some fries which he agreed then I remember that I need some cheese for my fries because he said he can’t get me some wings this old man yelled at me like A child as if I was going to eat free. After waiting for over 40Min seeing that he was busy he ignored me after attending other people and then came back and said he is not serving me and the kitchen is closed and he is not about playing games with me he talked down to me I told him I don’t want to be rude tried to make him understand that I just want to tell him that I wanted some cheese but he didn’t care I was so embarrassed in front of other people who were like what’s going on however I tried to reason with him but he shut me down and asked me to get out.. I don’t know if he has a personal issue with me which I don’t think that’s the case. But I returned home starved tonight I am still asking myself what is the mistake I have made by asking what happen anyway Ali always made us feel home and we never had this bad experience. I don’t want to say that he is racist but he was talking to other very calmly and I saw him attentive to new customers who came in.We respect elders in my home country so I didn’t want to disrespect him but I told him my mind and left after letting him know that I don’t want to disrespect him...
Read moreI wish I could see what people like in this place. All the food I've tried (dough boat, chicken chop, mozzarella sticks) has been mediocre at best. How do you mess up mozzarella sticks?? I can make frozen ones better in my air fryer at home. My friends said they were once given funky marinara on another visit. I'm baffled and distraught.
The bar itself always gives this sensation of stickiness, like it's not cleaned as often or as well as it should be. The first time I was there, actually, the only table we could get was pretty dirty. A friend asked to have the table cleaned, and the man behind the bar just tossed him a dirty rag so he could clean it himself. I'm sorry, why are customers paying to use your nasty rag to wipe down your sticky table?
Last night even, we got a pitcher of water. The lines to the water I guess weren't clean because my friends could taste MOLD in the water. Come on now! How are you going to mess up WATER?
The vibe at least can be chill depending on when you're there, and the actual alcoholic drinks are fine. But again. They messed up water. With so many other bars in Andersonville, I would never...
Read moreStopped by after 11 the other night. We’re not from chicago but this was the only place in the neighborhood that was still open and supposedly still serving food and beer. 1 bartender that was nice and prompt but we ordered food and after 25 minutes of waiting for the food he came by to tell us it’s still going to be awhile. Didn’t really elaborate why either just said sorry. We were really hungry and not sure if it is a staffing issue or what the problem was but unfortunately we decided to leave, still hungry. I understand it was a little past 11 but It wasn’t exactly busy. Maybe 10 other people in the place. Overall not a...
