Note: I included pictures of the entire menu with my dinner for those who’d like to look at it. I just left Lindo around 2:30AM a bit underwhelmed. I am a big Barbacoa fan since Chipotle introduced me to it and it’s become my first choice. Unfortunately, the Barbacoa here was dry. There wasn’t any juice to carry the flavor of the seasoning so it was fairly bland resulting in me needing to use the salsa to get any kick or enjoyment from the tacos. In addition to the poorly executed barbacoa, the rice was a bit on the soggier side. As for the service, the tables were clean and the staff was prompt and responsive. For a quick authentic bite, I understand the appeal, but tonight, the food missed the mark and was below satisfactory. I hope that if I find myself at this establishment again, they’ll deliver a meal that warrants 5 stars.

There’s a couple of taquerias in this area, this one stood out because it was on a busy corner clark and lawrence. -The food is average there’s flavors in there just not anything to come back to unless it’s open which it’s open 24/7. I would place it into the drunk food category when you’re looking for something to eat after the night out. Stand out was the bistec I would give that a 4. The carne asada was salty but tasted like overly frozen meat. The sauces were plain. The verde is better than the rojo! Only complaints: no napkins and biggest one that dropped a star is no limes. that’s a deal breaker for me. If you’re in the area looking for tacos i would say go only if you’re not sober. For the prices I would try somewhere else.

Ive been here once & there enchiladas where really good but today was the second time buying from here & i gotta say i was really disappointed, the heat from the food burnt throw the plastic & didn't realize until i started mixing the rice & beans together, the owner should honestly be disappointed because i know i am not the only one who's had this problem I've read other reviews with the same exact problem & there was chunks of hard rice & it was also sad how i was feeding my 3 yr old son just to know it was pieces of plastic he ate just disappointed overall & will not buy from here anymore

Lindo is a very solid late night food option and while I wasn't particularly "blown away", I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ordered.

The Al Pastor tacos were flavorful although limes were not included as they often are. The chicken in my burrito de pollo was well seasoned and had a great texture, although the burrito itself felt a bit smaller than expected. Everything was properly juicy, neither too greasy nor too dry. Where the verde and rojo salsas lacked in heat they made up in flavor.

The atmosphere is standard taco shop and the staff was extremely efficient, matter of fact and nice

Overall the service was great, the food was fresh and tasty. If you come I'd bring cash as there is a fee for using card (I understand card processing fees but this is a bit silly). There are a lot of options for Mexican cuisine in this area and Lindo didn't necessarily blaze past the competition but I'd challenge you to find a better spot for late night eats in Lincoln Square/ Albany Park. I'll definitely be returning to Lindo Guadalajara when I need some good fresh food late...

Chicago has some of the best Mexican food I've had so far, along with certain parts of the Pinellas County area in Florida and Denver. Unfortunately, because I've had so much, this just didn't make the cut. I couldn't even enjoy the chips they brought out because both of us could tell they were really old and the salsa tasted like there was something wrong with it.

I understand it was late, but we got some simple orders. The flautas were really hard, the refried beans cold and parts my boyfriend's order tasted good, but it was just kind of matted down on the plate. The gordita was cooked well on the inside (mushrooms and green peppers), but the dough wasn't good. He also ordered a sopa and that was the best item on the plate.

Uptown, Chicago doesn't have any other food open late night (it was around 10 or 11 PM). Maybe this place is completely different during the day, but there is too much good food to go around Chicago, particularly Mexican food, to waste your...

I came in on NYE with a group of friends and, unfortunately, experienced blatant racism and discrimination. Long story short, I was the only Black person in my group and was ignored for 45+ mins by the staff and never had my order taken at the front. My entire group was served and received their food at their 2 tables in a timely manner, all while I was standing there still waiting to order. Another Black man (the only other Black person in the establishment) was outwardly asking for us to be helped, and I watched the staff ignore us both. I watched them move around us and refuse to make eye contact and also watched the kitchen staff (semi-open kitchen concept) look and laugh at him as he was asking for literally anyone working there to help him order 3 tacos. I, obviously, left (he left, too, without food) and won’t ever go back and would advise any Black person to be cautious if you choose to spend your money here. -100000/10...
