My new favorite Mexican joint! El Ranchito on Clark. The institutional lunch was terrible, suffices to say that a couple hours later I had the atomic munchies! A friend highly recommended El Ranchito, so I decided to give them a spin. They are open and deliver 24 hours! They have a very extensive menu including Burgers, Gyros, breakfast, Mexican and Italian food. The snacks arrived fast, the paper sack nicely stapled for your protection. I ordered one sope de chorizo, which came with a nice amount of guacamole, the chorizo was nicely cooked. The beans tasted good. The only problem was the sope/ corn cake itself. It tasted good but it was tough. I also ordered a burrito al pastor. It also had a nice amount of guacamole, the marinated pork was very nice. Everything is prepared low salt which is excellent. I also got a nice, cold Jarritos de Tamarindo soda, which hit the spot. The green salsa and red salsa are mild and tasty. The only tiny problem was that I got a 2 liter Coke that I didn't intend to order. But both the young lady and I were in noisy environments, so no harm, no foul. I would much rather get an extra item, then find something missing. They only charge 4 bucks for delivery and they're open 24 hours! You cannot beat that with a stick!! ๐Ÿ˜Žโ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‹๐ŸŒฏ๐ŸŒฎ

We had the Chorizo Gordita dinner and the Pastor Burrito dinner. Both dinner plates came with large sides of frijoles and rice. The food portion to price ratio is great. I couldn't finish the gordita dinner and had to ask for a take-out box to take the leftovers home. Tortilla chips and salsa were free. Also, I asked for an order of flour tortillas and they gave me 5 for free. On top of that, the tortillas are homemade so that's always a big plus. Not many other Mexican restaurants offer free homemade tortillas. The only down side was that the restaurant's website menu did not reflect the menu it offers when you dine-in. The website's operation hours do not reflect the restaurant's hours as well. Sunday's hours are 9AM to 9PM. 10/10 would come back.

Placed an order at 10:30 pm. And ended having to call them at 12:10 to see where my food was. I have a person who works thr door who always calls to let me know I have a delivery. Food was cold , when I called up ti explain what happened the manager laughed at me lying telling me that both the driver and door man had given me call. Unprofessional service on their part

There were subtle warning signs this place wasn't going to be good when I came in with my fiancee. The tables were dirty, there were plates left on the tables from previous customers with most of their food on the plate, and the chips we ate were stale.

However, I was completely caught off guard by the service. I had ordered a gordita and my partner ordered carne asada tacos. When the waitress came out she brought out a burrito and tacos of different types of meats. We told her that wasn't us and she came back with carne asada tacos and the burrito still. I told her politely I ordered a gordita and not a burrito. The waitress rudely said no, you said burrito. I said, no, I ordered a gordita and she flat out told no and refused to change my order. My fiancee backed me up and told her in Spanish that I did order a gordita and that she heard what I said. Instead of the waitress apologizing and correcting the order like they do at any other restaurant, she just doubled down and acted rudely and refused to change my order. I don't like burritos, but I absolutely hate wasting food. I gave it a bite and it was gross. I tried the rice and beans, and the rice was under cooked and the beans tasted like they were from a can..I can cook both these items way better and wish I just ate at home. I left my plate full like the people who came before me and paid. I wanted to just walk out without paying, however I don't like to cause even more problems. Do yourself a favor and go to any of the other 6 Mexican restaurants within walking distance. This place...

I have lived directly across the street from this place for 4 years. It started out decent, considering it was close and open 24hrs, and it has slid into the abysmal category. No matter when I order a burrito it is always different. Most of the time it's select grade meat with lettuce and tomato but sometimes there's room temperature sour cream remeniscint of saliva and cilantro and more cheese. I avoided the place for a few months but tried again last night. My burrito was so terrible there was very little meat and only lettuce not even tomato or onion or cheese or sour cream. Tonight I got screwed and had to patronize this place. The young lady at the front register asked the line cooks and they confirmed everything was ok with the order, everything I mentioned was in the burrito; meat cheese sour cream lettuce tomato onion cilantro. Shocker!! It wasn't! In addition to the many things missing from the burrito they missed the beans and gave double rice which was rock hard (never the case, this time was particularly dreadful). Of course they offered a refund, which I appreciate, but after I specifically asked and they still lied, and they know I've been coming here for years and I always tip the people 2-3$ for all my to-go orders, I was beyond compensatory consolation. This is how they treat a loyal, respectful customer!? IM GOING TO BED HUNGRY AGAIN! Save your money hopefully a good place will move...
