Ordered delivery for the first time thru Uber eats and got the pork blood soup, moo krob, and fermented sausage omelette. I was slightly disappointed at the portion size of the moo krob and fermented sausage omelette as these were $15-16 dishes and did not include any rice. It turns out that their Thai menu are side dishes that are best with congee, a specialty. I think if you dine in, this is better explained but as someone who looked through their website and ubereats menu, I did not see this at all. I didn’t realize that I was supposed to order the congee until after I looked up Instagram reels explaining Me Dee’s Thai menu. I think more menu pictures or explaining that it doesn’t come with anything else in the food descriptions would be helpful. The pieces of fermented sausage in the omelette were very little in size and quantity. I was hoping to be able to experience the flavors a bit more so next time I’ll just get the fermented sausage on its own. The omelette itself was tasty. The pork blood soup is a good portion and very meaty with pork blood, pork belly (the same that they use for moo krob), ground pork, and pork liver I believe. Per uber eats it’s a popular order.
I was hoping to experience authentic Thai flavors/uncommon Thai dishes as pad thai is very common in Chicago. However, disappointed at the cost and portion sizes. Pictures or explanations on the online third party menus would’ve been very helpful. I also had a papaya salad craving and surprisingly did not see it on the menu (or maybe I missed it idk). I’ll give it another shot...
Read moreEnded up here pretty late at night. Opened until 12:30 am. Small, quintessentially the place to eat. The service was fantastic. The young man that was taking orders, for dine in and to go orders was very informative about what was what. His suggestions were absolutely what I was craving. I got the glass noddle with crab and shrimp. I asked for it spicy which isn’t advertised as spicy but it was not a problem. And it was the perfect spicy. My lady had the me see veggie plate with shrimp and that was so fresh with the veggies cooked perfectly and the shrimp was definitely large shrimp. Table next to us got a fermented pork short rib and offered me a bite. Just wow. We started off with the shrimp dumpling and veggie rolls. And fried calamari. When I tell you everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were out of this world, believe that that they were. I highly recommend trying this place out. Go asap! I’ve added pictures of the menu so you’ll know what you want once you get there. ...

After making my order and visiting this place for the first time in my neighborhood - I was refused/denied seating to dine and eat inside.
I was told my order ($14 Pad Kee Mao) was only a "to-go" order when I wasn't asked if I want to dine in or not (while people were clearly eating); there were 3 empty tables available therefore I sat to indicate I was going to eat inside.
Waited for my food and the host/server told me to leave while simultaneously seating a non-person of color and welcoming his visit and taking his order immediately.
Her words was "the rules are you can't eat here after you make your order" emphasizing and assuming my order was automatically "To-go" .
The race card is rarely my move or area of defense, yet this was completely unnecessary and targeted. Extremely disgusted with this restaurant group, their leadership, and customer...
