Giddings Plaza — Attraction in Lake View Township

This has been my favorite spot in Chicago for such a long time. I highly recommend grabbing a coffee from a nearby shop and just sit down to people watch, or listen to music, or even write. You can come and have a seat during anytime of the year and it'll be a joy. The Christmas lights they put up during the winter are so cute and just gives it a cozy vibe. During the Summer there are always lovely young couples with their toddlers running around.

It’s nice but it’s in an awkward spot where sun can be sparse. Also there are usually lots of kids running around. I’m happy they’re having fun and being loud, but it’s not ideal for peaceful sitting. Nice to have the fountain going on...

The smartest thing this ward did was capping off this minor street and turning it into a park. Really lovely space to read a book or grab a coffee with friends. The city should build more of these up and down...
