First time going to the BBC and did so at their new location on Damen (which is not listed on their own website under hours and locations at the time of this review). First, I was welcomed in by Gabe, great server! Atmosphere is charming and cozy. I order the "Blueberry Multi-grain Hotcakes - fresh blueberries & walnuts, cooked inside and topped with blueberry jam & powdered sugar" The quality and presentation were top notch! The flavor was very good however.... I would not call what was on top "blueberry jam" as it was more like sauce or syrup. It was VERY sweet so if sweet is your thing, go for it. I personally thought it was a bit much (see pic) and ended up not eating the top pancake. I might order them again and ask for the "jam" on the side. The only other thing I was disappointed about (not that I needed it today) was that there is no REAL maple syrup offering. It's maple flavored corn syrup. I know 100% pure maple syrup is expensive but not having it available at such an iconic place even for an up-charge was surprising to me. Coffee was good. I spent $30 with tip. I'll be back to try something savory.

If you're craving a hearty brunch with a side of trendiness, Bryn Mawr Breakfast Club delivers in style—but be prepared to pay for the experience. With nearly every dish clocking in around the $20 mark (give or take a dollar), and an upcharge just for using a credit card, your wallet might leave feeling lighter than your stomach. On the upside, the portions are generous—bordering on indulgent. Whether it’s a stack of fluffy pancakes, a tower of chilaquiles, or a lavish avocado toast, you won’t walk out hungry. The food itself? Solid. Not life-changing. The interior strikes that “urban chic brunch spot” chord. Service is friendly and attentive, and you won’t feel rushed out the door. Bottom line: it’s a decent brunch spot with good food and big plates—but the steep prices and payment surcharge take some of the shine off. Worth a visit if you're nearby, but maybe not a weekly ritual unless your budget has a line item for brioche French toast.

Delicious brunch spot! We tried the banana waffle, peach pancake, and tofu acorn squash—and every dish was fantastic. The flavors were fresh and creative, and the presentation matched the quality. The staff was super friendly, there was no wait, and we easily found street parking. The atmosphere was eclectic and fun—every corner had character, even the bathroom! The only downside was the noise level. It got pretty loud with the crowd and minimal sound absorption, so conversation was a bit tricky at times. Still, it didn’t take away from a great experience overall. Definitely worth a visit!

was really looking forward to trying this place but it is 100% disappointing from food to service. They don’t take reservations and take down names on a small scribbled note pad. The Wait time told to us was 10 mins. Waited an hour. finally asked why the long wait as we had put our name down right away, only for the host to say “she doesn’t know what happened” and lost our name on the note pad but can seat us right away. Wanted to give it a chance as we waited an hour but the food was probably the worst restaurant food I have ever had in my life. Ordered jerk chicken quesadillas but I couldn’t even finish them as they skimped out on the actual chicken (see photo attached) and gave me rubbery cheese, watered down jerk sauce with a sliver of chicken. Husband ordered the skirt steak skillet and was flavorless with the steak being chewy like bubble gum. Wish I could get my time and money back. If you’re looking for real good food and great service, I would try falcons sandwich’s that is right across the street. Wish I would’ve patronized that place instead...

Wow. I wasn't expecting to be blown away by pancakes but damn were they good. I ordered a mint tea, fruit salad, and mango strawberry pancakes, my partner got the chilaquiles Verdes and cold brew. These pancakes gave me life. Texturely amazing. Having granola, fresh fruit, fruit compote, and margarine on perfect pancakes was a dream. The fruit salad was a really nice mix + cut in small pieces which I liked.

My partner's chilaquiles were good, and we loved the homemade chips and sauce. But the eggs were definitely very easy (ordered over easy, next time will do medium) and the rice with beans was okay. I think we prefer having beans and rice separately, tbh.

The setting itself was super cute, and I noticed our server was serving the whole restaurant. But along with the bussers and other people coming around, there wasn't a moment I felt uncared for. You could tell they were an excellent team.

Definitely a lil pricey but hey, that's the world we live in.

Thanks for a really yummy...
