Service was terrible Thursday night around 5:30/6pm and it wasn't even busy. Bartenders camped by certain customers and it was really hard to order. Very off putting when the bartender is standing right in front of you, deep in conversation, and you finally have to wave and say excuse me several times after waiting too long for him to take your food order. This could have been avoided if he had asked if we wanted to order food, which should have been a given since it was dinnertime. Instead he rushed our drink order and didn't even offer a menu. I tried to order Kona on draft and he told me it was out and just shrugged when I asked what else they had. Again, why not offer a menu if you can't learn the draft list? We had to hunt one down ourselves.
I'm sorry to say that I really didn't like my dinner here, either. Fish tacos were cooked well but very bland, felt like they were missing something. Sauce or seasonings could have remedied but no one asked how the food was so I just salted them to make them more palatable. Not even served with a lime, just a mound of bland regular Cole slaw. These were "Baja" tacos so why wasn't this Baja slaw? Totally wrong slaw. Super disappointing given I love fish tacos and thought the food was supposed to be good here. I order them all the time and these were honestly the worst I've ever had.
Then, we sat with empty glasses wanting to close our check while the female bartender was chatting with a group on the other side of the bar. I thought maybe she was taking a large order but she came around to grab only a couple of drinks, making a point to avoid looking at us or other customers. A good bartender should be able to multitask, or at the very least acknowledge the customers you've kept waiting instead of pretending they aren't there. We weren't able to close until a different male bartender showed up and helped us. I liked the ambiance here but...

Situated near Wrigleyville the atmosphere here is equivalent to a Lambeau gameday or over the top college gameday. Come two hours before kickoff or you will be standing the entire time.
If you are expecting to try their Fish Friday, don't expect it during a "special event". (Cubs game nearby or packer game on TV) Unlike Wisconsin, there is no perch served here on a gameday, which was the whole reason we chose this establishment to begin our vacation.
Burgers and wings tasted like county fair food. Edible but not great.
Front of house bartender was a crabby patty the entire time we were there. Couldn't make up her mind as to whether or not the kitchen was open. Was told to wait until 6 and then asked again at 6 for two fish plates, only to have a half a sheet of paper slapped down in front of me with a "gameday" menu. Not friendly by any means. Dark curly hair with glasses. Mixed our captain and cokes wrong. (Bartender in the next room corrected that error) Needs an attitude adjustment by management. All of the other staff was super friendly and helpful. Security was the friendliest of them all and very helpful as we were pretty much deer in headlights walking into this establishment on a late Friday afternoon.
Service was over all so bad we left shortly after kickoff and watched the rest of the game at our hotel.
Was kinda neat to be seated next to a table reserved for "packer alum" who...
Read moreTHREATENED BY MANAGER. Manager of the bar wanted to kick me out and fight me. I am a Bears fan that met friends there -- generally not an issue to root for the home team. The general atmosphere of the bar is fine, the lack of professionalism and overall maturity of management is a real problem. The manager of the bar (leaning on the fence in the picture) threatened me to fight, and then instructed his staff to "watch what I do, then get him out" because the Packers were losing near the end of the game. This entire situation was 100% unprovoked. I was speaking to others around our table outside when we all were interrupted by a veiled threat from someone I did not even realize was interloping on the conversation. Clearly, this manager has zero professionalism, and has no business working in the hospitality industry. The bouncer staff was excellent, the front bartenders were excellent -- I hope they will find employment elsewhere.
