China Garden — Restaurant in Lake Wales

My daughter ordered lunch for me today from here. When she brought it home it wasn't what was ordered. I wanted General Tso's chicken, shrimp fried rice, and 2 shrimp egg rolls. Everything was right except for the chicken. It wasn't General Tao's it was Sweet and Sour. I don't like sweet and sour. I like the spiciness of General Tso's. This had NO spice to it. Plus she said NO combo, they gave her, yep you guessed it, a combo. When she called to let them know the order was incorrect they argued with her yelling it was what she ordered, and that they don't mix their sweet and sour sauce with their chicken. The plus side is they said if she brought it back they'd refund her money. Down side...she has to waste her gas and time, because of their mistake, to return it. I've ordered from here several times in the past. However, the last few times the service, food quality, and the correctness of the orders have left a lot to be desired. I gave them a 3rd shot and they blew it. See ya...

It's alright... Coming from Philly where the Chinese Food is TOP TIER this was pretty underwhelming. This place is definitely ran by authentic Chinese individuals but the food was kind of missing something... it was just.. idk.. okay... nothing exciting, like if it was paint then it would be primer, flat white.

The service was kind of grab your food and get out, no have a nice day.. no thanks just very dismissive.

Would I go back? Eeh maybe.. it's not too far but I'd probably look for another spot...

Ordered take out went to pick up my bag and a cockroach was crawling out. I told the associate about it, her reply was she would give me another bag!! This happened about 8 years ago and I've never been able to step foot into this place again. They refused to give me my money back. I took the food and dropped it into the trash can outside. I just couldn't believe they found nothing wrong with the notion of bugs in my food!! Just found it to be it an injustice to not tell...
