We will never return to this franchise! This was a horrible experience. My husband and I were so excited to go out and spend an evening at this location, as Beef O Brady's was where we had our very first date 12 years ago, only to be so very disappointed. The ice in the Coke was probably the best thing about this location.
We went in and ordered two appetizers, cheese sticks and buffalo chicken dip with tortilla chips. The cheese sticks came out hot and they were good. Five minutes later the chicken dip came out and oh how I wish I would have taken a picture like I thought about it. This chicken "dip" looked as bad as it tasted. The chips were stale and of poor flavor. Even with a full basket of chips and all but two scoops of the "dip" in the cup, we did not complain.
Our orders get taken and my husband's plate came out with onions all over it, even though it was voiced to the staff that he did not want them on his plate, at all, or cooked with his food. This was voiced more than once. I order this prime rib garlic melt. I took two bites of it and realized there is absolutely NO flavor whatsoever. There is no garlic. There is nothing. It is bland. I taste the au jus sauce thinking maybe that was where the flavor was but seriously, there is more flavor in hospital food that is served to diabetic and cardiac patients than any of this food. I tell my husband and against my insisting not to say anything, he in turn he calls the manager over.
The manager offers to make another sandwich. I stated that it was fine. I'd rather not, in an attempt to be polite as opposed to saying that "this is the worst experience we have ever had at any Beef O Brady's in Polk or Hillsborough County, Florida". He is insistent that "it will only take three minutes" to make this sandwich. I eventually agree and tell him that it will need to be to go as my husband and I were both aggravated at this point.
The food arrives on the table. I politely ask for the bill and a to go container when I notice that the meat was still pink (I am a very "well done" type person and any sign of pink is disturbing). It was never asked how I wanted the meat cooked because prime rib was usually done all the way through at every other place I've ever been to. The onion that is on this sandwich is raw, as if it was just picked up out of salad. The food looked sad with the cheese not even being melted on this "pressed garlic bread".
We get the bill and I wish I would have looked at it before paying it. We were charged $63.45. ($72.35 with a tip) We paid for every item without a single apology from ANY of the staff about any of the issues. We don't get any adjustment for the $7.99 chicken "dip" that had two chips and two small scoops missing from it; my husband's plate of onions that are smothering his $15.69 three stale tortillas and 8 small toddler size pieces of steak that were supposed to be Steak Fajitas; or my $13.49 Prime Rib Garlic Melt that was thrown away as we were leaving.
We will not be returning to this location. An evening that was meant to sit and enjoy ourselves and the company of each other turned into a night that included a $73 bill from one place only to turn around and spend even more money at McDonald's across the street on the way home to actually eat something.
Both my husband and I highly recommend staying away from this location at all costs. I have since forwarded a complaint to their Corporate office to see this situation handled swiftly and...

Read moreWent to Beef's South Lakeland today with Matt and Sebastian. My first time ever going to Beef's!
Wish I could say that anything, even the food, was as great as my burger looked.
Every section but one dinning room was closed off or "reserved", and that one open dinning room had half the tables un-bussed for about the first 45 minutes of our 2 hour meal... despite having no less than three waitresses and a bartender walking around. When the tables did finally get cleaned, it was by another waitress from one of the closed dinning rooms.
It took fifteen minutes after we sat ourselves to be greeted by our waitress, who never gave her name, and then brought the wrong drinks. It took more than an hour for an order of wings, my burger and fries, and my son's COLD Mac n cheese to come out. There were three tables eating when we got there, and two tables came in and ordered after we did. Both of them were served their entrees before our appetizer came out.
The burger ("Five cheese burger") looks awesome, right? It was completely unseasoned. Not lightly seasoned. Not poorly seasoned. Unseasoned. No salt or pepper, despite the menu specifically stating all their burgers are seasoned with both. Just flavorless beef, which was substantially over cooked. I got two hockey pucks covered in cheese. Looked great, tasted terrible. I only ate one half. And the fries were cool to the touch, to boot.
I don't think I'll ever go to another Beef's, and if I do it certainly won't be the South...
