the TL:DR is that after 4 times ordering delivery, we haven't seen them get it right yet. and the customer service to fix the issue was IMHO inadequate.
I used this location in the past when i used to live in Lakeland and it wasn't great, but it wasn't awful. however, i just moved back in November, and in 2 months we have ordered 4 times. so far, every one of those ordered have had an issue.
first was wrong pizza. I was told that I ordered the wrong pizza. I had to argue with them that I did not, and I had my order info in front of me stating that I did not. finally, got a pizza sent back out to me.
second order, no flavored crust on any of the pizzas. didn't bother calling. its just crust right? I admit that the main reason I get Hungry Howie's is for the flavored crust. but not worth a phone call
third order. no flavored crust again. 2 pizzas. one was ranch one was butter garlic. both had nothing. for those that get these crusts you know... ranch has a look to it like its been seasons or something. butter garlic is always shiny and leaves your hands a little greasy. these were dry. I called this time because this was the second time in a row. i was polite. the manager first tells me that she will resend the pizzas. and to give ours back to the driver. that's fine. seems fair. but then, she changes her mind. she comes back to the phone and tells me that she just spoke to person that did the pizza and they distinctly remember putting the flavorings on. and that its my fault for not specifying I wanted extra flavoring. i made it clear, again, that there was NO flavoring at all on them. I didn't want extra. i just want SOME. but she tells me that she knows its there because she was told there was. I offered to send pictures. I offered for someone to see the pizza in person. I even offered to drive up there for her to see it (despite having just paid fee and tip to NOT leave the house). not of these solutions were accepted. I was finally offered to have a coupon sent in the mail. I asked what kind and she wouldn't tell me. just kept repeating "a coupon". please note she was not being polite at all. finally I give up. agree to whatever the coupon is. I them call corporate. which I admit I have never taken it this far before, but the rudeness of the manager had me pretty mad. corporate tells me that its a franchise and she was limited on what she could do. but she would notify the area manager/owner (I don't remember her exact wording) to contact me. told me to look out for an email in the next few days. I never got one. checked spam just to be sure. to their credit, I did receive a $5 coupon. which I wasn't actually expecting to receive. unfortunately, its not good everywhere. its only good at this location and 1 other that don't deliver to me. thus, I am stuck using it here again.
4th time, I call. tell them I have a coupon. and place my order over the phone (previous orders were online). 3 pizzas. 1 bacon (ranch crust), 1 cheese(butter garlic crust), and 1 half bacon half cheese (ranch crust). 1 cheesy bread, and a 2 liter. all crust for pizzas were requested to have extra. not that I actually want extra. but figured maybe it would get me some flavoring. pizzas arrive. both bacons were half cheese. and ALL OF THEM were butter garlic. no ranch crust at all. and the cheese bread we had to throw away as it was black on bottom. I didn't call. I'm not going to call. no point in calling. I don't want a coupon to this location. I don't want to wait on an email that wont come. I only want, at this point. to post my story and hope I can prevent someone else from making the mistake of ordering at...
Read moreTonight service (5/31/17) was just horrible!!!!! To start off placing my order (2 deluxe subs) was the hardest thing to do with the guy who answered the phone (call made at 825pm) after being told 20mins for carryout I arrived at 9pm to find out the guy DID NOT complete my order so it was nothing ready. After all that the manager Krystal stated give her 10mins to make 2 more subs and to just drive around back into the drive thru line after gping around it was 7 cars in from the of me so sitting in line for 29mins decided to go inside to find out the doors was lock because per Krystal they only have 2-3 people working so I asked could she just hand me my order since it was they mistake and it's now been an hour since placing the first order and at that time she stated NO to go wait in line. I called inside 4 times and twice I was hung up on after the ride customer service of answeringredients the phone and saying "can you please hold" and don't give you a sec to even say yes or no!!! Then to top it when I finally was able to get a hold of a person I asked for a corporate number which was a local 863-940 number that you can't even leave a voice mail message... CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE....... HOPEFULLY I WILL GET A HOLD OF SOMEONE AT WHAT THEY CALL CORPORATE!! Ya right!!!! RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL ZERO...
Read moreI am a 75 year old lady with very limited income, social security only. Tonite I called Hungry Howies on N. 98 in Lakeland, fl. Ordered two large pizza with ex cheese and pepperoni and sausage...total bill $24.40... I only had $25.00 for this pizza. It was a special treat to myself and a few of my friends. A few of us seniors get together once a month and we all chip together to buy the pizza when the Pizza delivery came, I explained to the driver that I didn't have enough to give him a tip, but would make up for it upon our next delivery..In my haste, I handed the delivery man a total of $140.00 all rolled up, instead of the $25.00. once he drove away, I realized what I did. I was so nervous, I couldn't find the number for Hungry Howies, began to shake and cry and who comes knocking at my door. The Hungry Howie Pizza Delivery Man with my money. Thank God there is honest people working at your store or I would not have had the money to pay my electric bill. I will make sure this driver stays in my prayers for ever. Thank you for having...
