I can’t recommend this location due to poor policies and customer service. I was a regular customer at Marco’s for approximately two years going once a week on a weekday with my mom for lunch and sometimes a second time on the weekend with my husband and children. I always order the exact same thing every time and that has never changed in two years. Over a month ago I came in on a weekday and an employee told me they no longer have lunch specials. I pointed out that there was a sign literally feet away about their lunch specials. He said he thought they did away with them, so we left and went next door to Zaxby’s instead. My husband called later and spoke to a manager who said they still had them. Apparently there must have been a new employee that did not know about the lunch specials. Decided to give them another try and the next time, they were out of drinks… left and went to Zaxby’s again. I called today to see if they had drinks again and they said they did so we came back today and now they say the lunch specials are for weekdays only even though I have literally got the same lunch special (medium pizza and two drinks) for years (many times on a weekend) without issue. I asked him if he could double check with a manager on that as I had been ordering the same thing for years and he refused. This is now the third time I went next door to Zaxby’s. They are getting a lot of my money lately. I highly recommend to consider another pizza place if you want good or consistent service with employees that know what they are doing. To Marco’s: please keep your every day lunch specials and train your employees better… a working drink machine would be great, too. I did give Marco’s two stars rather than one because they have good pizza and I want to be fair, but the hassle of dealing with them is not worth going. I recommend them ONLY if doing carry out, but I don’t carry out very often so they definitely will be losing me as a regular weekly customer. If looking for a different carry-out option, there is a dominos on Canada rd/Houston Levee that has great specials and...
Read moreAh, Marco's Pizza, a place where dreams and mozzarella are supposed to mingle in harmony. Picture this: a Big Cheese Pizza, the crowning jewel of their menu, something I've tasted before and thought, 'Hey, this isn't half bad for pizza that isn't made by an Italian grandma.' So, I order it again, expecting the same delightful experience. But wait, what's this? A culinary plot twist! Instead of the perfectly cooked mushrooms, which I assume should be gently kissed by the oven's heat, I find raw mushrooms just thrown on top like an afterthought. It's like they decided at the last minute, 'Oh, these fungi need a home, let’s evict them onto this pizza.' I mean, if I wanted a salad on my pizza, I would've asked for one! The mushrooms were so raw, they could still tell stories of the dark, damp soil they came from. Eating this pizza was like going on a treasure hunt, but instead of treasure, it's just disappointment. And let's talk about the cheese. Ah, the cheese, which should be the star, seemed to have given up all hope, overshadowed by the uncooked mushroom fiasco. It was as if the chef looked at the pizza and thought, ‘This needs something… I know, uncooked mushrooms! That’ll surprise them.’ Surprise indeed, but not the kind anyone would want. The pizza was a confusing juxtaposition of hot and cold, like watching a Christmas movie in July. In the end, the only thing this pizza managed to cook up was my disappointment. Marco's, you had one job: to cook the pizza WITH the toppings. Not rocket science, folks. Next time, I'll remember to specify: 'Please cook all the ingredients.' Or better yet, I might just stick to making my own sandwiches. At least then, if there's a raw mushroom, I'll have only...
Read moreI order from here at least once a week sometimes twice for family movie and game day. My order is always hot and correct. However, today (Friday, September 22, 2023 at 6:30pm), I ordered my usual and found something in my pizza. I’m unsure what it looks like. I called for a cash refund even though we paid using a card and was told that it wouldn’t be a problem. I let them know that I was bringing the boxes of pizzas back as well. I get here only to be told “it’s a burnt olive” and “there is no way for us to refund you in cash because it would make us short on cash.” I’m still unsure how $23.01 in cash will make you that short. But, ok… Seeing that I was a loyal customer, I expected to be accommodated since this was my first issue and refund request. 🤦🏽♀️ I was able to find a picture of the card we used because my husband had already left for work with it. The GM, Don Starbarg, refunded the amount onto my card. I’m guessing it will take 3-5 days before it’s credited back. While I was there, I overheard another customer call in requesting a refund as well. Maybe it was a hectic day for them and the pizza quality was off.. Don and the shift lead (a black lady) were assisting with my issue. She gave me his name but refused twice to give me her name which seemed extremely odd to me. Especially, since despite their demeanor towards me, I feel our interaction was still calm and respectful. I even said it was to make sure I knew who to talk to if any issues with my refund. She still refused. It came off as...
