Angelina's Bakery & Espresso — Restaurant in Lakeport

I came in to order a sandwich and was delighted by the guy behind the counter. It was my first- time, he helped me order my sandwich, and I waited just inside the doorway. There was a nice lady asking questions about certain ingredients because she must of had a lot of allergies or something. I was really embarrassed for the guy (Brian?) Because there was a cranky lady who was working behind the counter, her scraggly hair pulled back and didn'r look like she "tried" much; and she kept criticizing him , rolling her eyes, and complaining under her breath about him. He didn't seem to let it bother him,he just kept trying to help. I was shocked that she was so obviously frustrated. I found later that she and he were the owners. Poor guy. The food was great, and they have a lot of Italian dishes, sandwiches, wraps, snacks, ice cream , coffees , quiche, pastries, and espresso BUT WHEW , her behavior was so rude and unprofessional and definitely should of been left at the door. It doesn't matter what marital issues they may have. It was very uncomfortable and the poor dude has to go home to THAT! I am surprised they are in business if this is typical. If I go back I hope she can fake a smile and pull up her big girl panties and fake a smile and save that drama...

Lovely bakery shop. The employees are top notch!!! I don't live in the area and am not often in Lakeport but was looking for a place to get my daughter a scoop of ice cream as a treat for being in good behavior. The ice cream shop on the same block had closed for good and I didn't realize so my daughter and I popped in after running my errands and we had never been there before. The staff was sweet, helpful and very kind. I didn't realize we were there at closing time and they never once rushed or made us feel unwelcome. I was embarrassed to realize that we were holding them up and the entire staff was so quick to say, "No rush! You're fine. No problem!" My daughter and I left fairly quickly after that but the service was exemplary and the ice cream and latte were delicious. My son said the cookie I brought home to him was "very delicious!". We will be making it our regular stop...

Went to support the local bakery that's been in business for about 25 years now. Got a strawberry milk shake and 2 muffins. One muffin was blueberry the other I believe was pumpkin spice. They had cream cheese in the so I was excited. However my first bite of the blueberry was sour because of the cream cheese, so I tried the pumpkin. Sadly the same thing. Almost tasted like they we're a day old or left out. I washed them down with my strawberry milkshake, which I was disappointed that it didn't have any strawberry bits or chunks. I brought the muffins home for my boyfriend to try. And he took one bite and refused to try the other muffin. He told me to go to Safeway or Starbucks next time.. But I think we'll try another local bakery in town before we head back to our old...
